Of late I've noticed several units running about with canon universe names. Such as Kell Hounds and Eridani Light Horse. Where such names not banned for common use? I know for a fact the Death's Hand Brigade started as Gray Death Legion, and similarly Windbourne Highlanders started as Northwind Highlanders; but where then asked to alter their names.
How are these units allowed to run about with canon names?
I know I have been told there is a filter in place.

If PGI sees them then they will be notified. Other then that, does anyone other then the whistleblowers care? I sure don't.

All they have to do to use those name is become the "NEW" Death's Hand Brigade or "THE" Gray Death Legion or even The Gray Death Legion of "Wisconsin" and all is good. Don't you love semantics!?

Yeah, all ACTUAL unit names are banned, but variations are allowed.
