Is CW going to be just over the rainbow, indefinitely? Because that's what it seems like to me. I expect CW to be released around X-mas at this rate...
Well, I hope when it hits, it has most things working correctly.
And if we have to wait to Jan or Feb 2015, so be it, I'd rather have it in the game with less things in need of correction, than sooner with most things broken.
PGI: Take your time, we waited so far, we can wait a couple more months. Just tweak and fine tune it before releasing. Hope you also place it in the PTS so we can help out finding things that might still need a review and correction.

Here's someone who knows where CW is

- Give a date for when something will be out
- Miss the deadline
- Go out publically in some obscure media, like a podcast or reddit thread and announce the new date
- When the message has already spread to the MWO forum gradually over weeks, make a new announcement on the MWO website. By then, it should be known to 50% of the players, so it won't create the same sensational reaction.
- Give a new deadline. Preferably something obscure like "Fall 2014".
- Push the envelope as much as possible. If "Fall 2014" means anywhere between august and november, aim for november.
- On the 30th of November, make a public announcement about how the patch will be delayed a little while longer.
- After a little while, release an unfinished product and then spend the next few weeks / months with public tests, forum feedback threads, etc.
- If things are taking longer than expected, just say that the content is now finished. Call it Stage 1 or something, to give players some hope that it will be better some day.

Nice summary, that's pretty much how delays have been handled every time. Right now they can blame IGP though since they've recently quit the cooperation with them. I just wonder what the next scapegoat will be.

If history is any guide - it'll be UI 2.5. Absolutely no work could possibly have been done on CW until 2.0 was deployed. We can't possibly expect anything from CW2 until the UI is updated to accommodate it. Here's a nice map of the periphery to gaze at while you wait.

The State of the Inner Sphere post mentioned Sept-Oct for Module 2. It also mentioned that Module 1 as July-Aug so since that came at the end of the estimate my guess is now Oct-Nov for Module 2. Most likely end of Nov based on how Module 1 came out and the issues they are trying to fix with desync.

I think I have another scapegoat, it's going to be clan pack 2 now when I know they're going to work on and release it before Christmas. The demand for new mechs from the community had to be filled, so we worked hard and gave you new toys, you gave us your money, and CW can wait, right? RIGHT??

Sad but accurate. Sadly accurate.

It turns out that they've just re-taken the reins from IGP. I'm guessing there will be a lot of chaos and changes going on behind closed doors. I'd wait a few days for it to settle before we start pulling this apart.
They seem to be having delays do to lots of Outside things. First was acquiring the Licences Now casting off IGP...
The dog ate my homework is a old excuse.

PGI has said this time and time again, the people making MECHS and MAPS are not the same people implementing new CODE and UI. UI is done by art/coders just like Mechs, sure, but they can do both of the projects at the same time because they have increased their number of employees, namely artists galore. How else was UI 2.0 pulled off during the construction of the Clan mechs?
If you guys keep spouting these inaccuracies again and again after you have been corrected multiple times, I'm just gonna have to call it. It's delusion. You are making up a reason to hate the progress of this game, which doesn't sound like a fun way to watch the development of this game unfold.
Regarding the free Mech. Russ mentioned that it was going to be a new chassis, and that Clan Phase 1/Phase 2 purchasers who spent enough on a la carte or the packs themselves would receive it. A Clan pack 2 is in the works because people have been BEGGING for it alongside CW and new maps. I'm really ******* sick of you guys saying "HEY HEY ADD THIS AND YOU CAN TAKE MY MONEY" and then, after the announcment, turn things right back around on PGI with "WTF WE NEED NEW MAPS AND CW YOU IDIOTS!"
If you're gonna be mad at PGI, be mad at them for a legitimate reason. Ffs.
But at any rate, the new chassis is just a thank-you freebie. I can't remember what was mentioned regarding Clan Pack 2, but I think it was something along the lines of "Because IGP is out of the picture, the max price a pack is gonna be will be $120, so half of the Invasion's max pricing. Price value will be the same or probably greater, people that pay the $120 will get some nice bonuses, we're really trying to let the backers feel like they are getting their money's worth. PS Gold Mechs were IGP's idea"
Yeah, this is a late update/response, sorry about that. Been keeping my eye on the Arena Commander patch info.
