From Niko's thread:
http://mwomercs.com/...sked-questions/

Q: Why don’t you just finish MWO first?
A: Community Warfare is the last remaining main feature of the original vision to be delivered.

Do you agree with this statement? I personally thought there were a few features from the original vision that we have never seen, and most likely will never see.

i guess it would depend on what they end up putting in community warfare. they could just put the bare minimum in and call it a finished product which would suck, but hopefully they put all the bells and whistles in like role warfare, different game modes, destructable terrain, being able to build your units head quarters and defend it plus many other great ideas that enthusiastic mechwarriors have suggested

If you had to quote this statement, why not doing it right?

Quote

Q: Why don’t you just finish MWO first?

A: Community Warfare is the last remaining main feature of the original vision to be delivered. As to CW you have recently seen Unit creation and we are now just a few short months away from delivering this final item. Having said that MWO is never finished. We plan to add content until a) the license expires, B) players no longer want to support development of new features and content beyond CW.

So even Bryan doesn't agree with the first part of the statement you quoted.
What's the matter?

Because I cut away the irrelevant stuff. The promise of making more content over time is something I take for granted from any company that wants people to keep playing their game. It's not relevant to "the original vision" of MWO either, which is what this thread is about.

This game is sooo far in its core elements from "original vision" promised to founders 2.5 years ago, that it doesn't even matter what new atrocities they'll come up with.

CW is the last main feature, yes. So long as CW is actually getting fully delivered.

However it will be feature incomplete compared to the original promises until we have...
A. Improved Role Warfare
B. Collisions with DFA
C. MASC

At that point I would say the game is launch complete and anything further such as melee, Solaris, single player or additional mechs and weapons systems are indeed stretch goals.

There is ans official feedback thread for that:
http://mwomercs.com/...tions-feedback/

If you want to make sure that your feedback is recognized, your chances are best, when using those threads. Spreading it through various topics in GD or other places in the forums, might lead to some of the feedback unintentionally getting missed. :)
