Having watched these highly amusing videos, I got to thinking about what MW3 did right. I'm not going to go into gameplay and the whole arm-swing argument. What I'm talking about is aesthetics. Most notably, the cracked cockpit glass. When that happened the first time, I flipped out. It was so awesome, even if it didn't really mean too much. Also, an advanced damage model that would be the obvious continuation of the sort of "texture" you see when you shoot the 'Mechs, rather than stuff blackening like it did in MW4. I would also love for an advanced model of the missiles creating craters. I absolutely loved that about MW3. Of course, it would need to be done so that a single missed LRM wouldn't make the same crater as a full onslaught of two LRM 20's or something.

Anyway, those are my thoughts, since the 2009 video (yes, I know it's not supposed to reflect MWO in any way) had bullet holes in the glass (at least, one of the pre-production ones did. It's almost 4 a.m., and I'm not gonna look for it tonight), and the CryENGINE 3 has been chosen because of "destruction physics," I believe it was said. So I'm confident most, of not all of these will be addressed. Just wondering how everyone else felt about it. Nothing makes me feel like I came close to death like a cracked cockpit.

the sound effects had to be among the best in the series imho. when you stepped in water it sounded like a foot plodding in water, not a looped sound that sounds like one of those animated water fall light/pictures (mw4). also, i loved the missles. you could ark them in multiple ways and they sounded awesome.

I wonder if this Hula Girl Physics that we keep hearing about is a system for physics operable, destructible cockpits?

You are all forgetting the most important feature of MW3, the ability to stomp on people.

It also had the best intro and ending videos from any of the MW games so far.
