Just wanted to see if anyone else was having this issue, but tonight Ive had several matches where at least 5-6 people in a match disconnect all at once. Only started happening around 9 PST.

Yeah, same question. I've been getting 100 ping, sometimes it spikes, but even at 100 the Lag is huge, have suffered massive desyncs with others. I'm based in UK and have seen people from all over get cut off or experience crazy stuff.

No idea what's going on. It was better for a few days then over the past few days/week it's been getting steadily worse to the point where I can't play.

I am starting to wonder if posts like this do not show up more frequently late in the night around our lower populatoin times. Doesnt make sense but I will be sure to bring it up tomorrow.

I've been getting frequently dropped or desynced from games for the last couple hours. I wasn't playing during primetime so I can't really compare to that, but it's pretty frustrating.

Hi Russ, thankyou for the reply.. (and the podcast by the way - I think we all appreciate that and wish you luck in developing the game in future. Your progress in 2014 has been noted by a lot of us by the way.)

Anyways, yeah this is much more of an issue over the past few days than it has ever been before. I've seen literally a thrid of players get disconnected through out. I'm based in the UK and it's definitely never been this bad around the late night period in your time. I have seen it at other times also with lag specifically. Someone bombarding your servers with data maybe? - I don't know enough about that stuff, but this really is on a much bigger scale than before for myself and a lot of other players. When I say unplayable, that's not an exaggeration.

Seen some strange stuff in the last hour as well. I got dropped from two games while spectating and in the same games there were multiple disconnects at the start.

You might be on to something there. Some of the players seem very upset with all that has been happening lately. It's possible that a few of them might be so upset that they are willing to do more than just complain here (and on other websites).

I hope this isn't the case, but PGI should probably run some checks on their new servers too look for any unusual and suspicious incoming traffic. Hopefully they have access to some security specialists that know what to look for, as well as the appropriate steps to take if they find anything.

wouldn't that make sense since that is when there are more people playing in non North American countries?

I noticed a much higher number of disconnects right after match start, yesterday 22-24:00 and this morning at 8:00 CET. Like 2-4 players disconnecting a couple of seconds after the match started. A few later reconnect.

Didn't see such kind of increased drops in the last week before the patch.

After reading this thread I logged on and played 3 matches. I did notice at least one disconnect in each of them, and they never rejoined. It might be because this was the beginning of prime time for Australian players, and they have been reporting problems lately.

The server in general seemed smooth and normal for me, I didn't notice any server wide lag and no one in the game was complaining about it. I don't think the servers are getting attacked, like I previously thought they might be. I think it's just an issue of players connecting from across the globe having trouble with the new servers.

Since the servers moved right when PGI dumped IGP, then I assume IGP was hosting them before and PGI is now. IGP is on the West side of Canada and PGI is on the East. IGP was closer to Australia and now the servers have moved thousands of miles further away. This is probably why the Australian players are having higher pings and troubles connecting.

Im in the U.S. with a 50~60 ping and I was disconnected from the server last night as well. I want to say around 9:00 PM EST.

It was the first time the game had kicked me out to the login screen. Normally it just de-syncs.
