For all intents and purposes, it would be a hollow gesture. A mech is no gift. It has no value to us really. Actually rolling back and making an effort to right something that went horribly wrong back then, that would send a message. But I doubt they have it in them.
Well, its mostly about this:
Clan buyers IF they buy the reinforcemtn package get something, beeing called "loyal customers" in the process, but as a matter of fact, Everybody who is here for at least 6 months, especially founders (!) are loyal customers, so, either everybody who is a loyal customer, gets something, or nobody.
And from there, you can start to work on the other issues.

And what use is a new mech to me in a game that I have no inclination to play out of distaste for it's implemention and disgust for it's creators?
You want something that really would change people's minds? Rollback to the state before the first ECM release and then a dogged march through all the stuff they should have done correctly in the first place.

because it would be a first step back TOWARDS the community, and a way to show, that they know fully well, how important the community is, be it founder, or gold mech owner.
^Exactly this. Yes they need to fix some issues that are underlying everything. However, for those of you who haven't been playing a couple years, the gameplay is actually pretty good right now. It still has a few issues, but it is fun. You can't just rollback and instantly fix things, it will take time.
What they can do is give a gesture of good will and then follow through with it. Prove that they are changing, listening, and keeping promises. They don't even have to go talk to IGP about it because they fired them.

I agree. The game's fun (if a bit incomplete). Its just they need to figure out how to do PR and talk to us. Of course I've spent a grand total of $7 so...I'm not as mad as the rest of you.

I think the intention of the posts on this thread wasnt to force pgi for a roll back on the game mechanics per se. it was more likely to show that the customers which they called out as beeing on an island and threated with banns , raised their voices all together to proof pgi how bad their relation to a huge number of the community is. If pgi doesnt sees that as a warning then shall this game go down

You should be... you should be ANGRY because they blew away a big portion of the community that could have been your teammates or opponents in a damn great game instead of what you have now.
And let's not act like most of yall didn't get a thrill when you saw some SQUAAAWWWWWWWWWWKKKKKKK and managed to drop one (or two) of us.
But I didn't admit that.

This should not be about money spend anyway... as i tried to tell them (via PM) some other day, and got ignored,
F2P only users are Important, those are the BROAD mass and provide "content" for the remaining community (dont see this as degrading towards F2P users, its just a fact, they play, thus enabling others to play with them or against them, they make the broad mass, and that mass is IMPORTANT for a healthy community)
Low spenders are Important aswell! Especialy, because you can and should gear your sales towards them, so you can grab a buck every now and then, and make them happy, with Deals tailored to their pockets.
The "every months a bit " Customer is important, because those (like me) create (when you are able to keep them) the baseline income to pay part or all of your monthly costs, ex. i spend between 30 and 50 a month, thats not much in itself, but if you manage to get enough, well...
the whales (again, no insult meant, its the coined term *shrug*) provide the income to found new projects, new maps, new mechs, new modes, whatever...
BUT
Without any of those parts, you start to run into trouble.
Without the first 3 groups, your "whales" run out of things to do, no enemys to play against, no teams to play with.
Only the third group? You have a somewhat okayish playerbase and can, somehow, cover your costs, if you have enough of the, BUT you run out of content to produce, as it gets hard to pay the costs for development AND maintaining everything from that income.
and so one...
