Yeah, are you... Are you serious? I mean come on, man. If you don't realize how terrible this makes you look, I truly have lost all hope for MWO.

I bet we soon get a news post about how MWO has made such a good progress that suddenly all the old Founders are logging back in :D

I logged in here for the first time since early 2013 to add to the noise of this thread and was dumbstruck to realize I gave these shills $90 back before I realized this house of cards is built entirely on lies and poor community interfacing.

PGI is a terrible, greedy, asinine company that doesn't deserve any money, and they will certainly never see any more of mine.

Often I've wondered if Microsoft is aware of the horrendous state of the product made with the license they granted and the community around it. I doubt they really care, but It'd be amusing to hear their opinion.

Or some original FASA founders perhaps... Wasn't Weisman involved with PGI at the some point?

Sorry but all this drama aside but I personally think pointing out the thread of the responsible party is a name and shame is it not?

If anybody should BEG to not be given up upon, its PGI.

This guy gets it. What you should be begging PGI to do is not fail us yet again. They will, but it might make you feel better to ask...

If this thread isn't enough justification for PGI to sack Niko, it must have been REALLY bad at IGP for them to sack him.

Just remember that people were literally quitting IGP to get away from him, he's that toxic. As this debacle should have proven to PGI at this point. Niko's got a great future as a North Korean Information Officer, but as a Community Manager? Not so much.

When your Community Manager singles out an entire sizable segment of your player population as "the enemy", you have a serious problem. On a fan forum that can be forgiven, on the official forums it's insane. As a goon I know we can be abrasive at times, even downright obnoxious, but we usually have a reason for doing so. We're also hugely constructive and we actively wanted this game to succeed. I suspect non-goons have no idea just how much. #savemwo was a sincere expression over our concern about the future of the game and our desire to see it prosper. Evidently the implication that they were failing was too much for some peoples' egos to take and they came away with entirely the wrong lesson. There were a lot of goons in closed beta, myself included, and we were actively encouraging people to buy Founders Packs just to get Beta Access. Hell, I bought a Founders Pack despite getting a free Beta invite just because the game had so much potential. We offered constructive feedback at every turn until we got tired of being ignored in favor of ridiculous nonsense like Ghost Heat.

I genuinely don't understand why PGI is so actively antagonistic towards its community, not just goons either. It's horribly counter-productive and is clearly negatively impacting this new project.

PGI,

Please just ask your Founders what they want and listen to them. I know that I feel that the people who support your game are alienated and forgotten. People who get a bad taste in their mouth have a tendency to let other people know about it. If you want to be successful, I suggest making your player base happy and supportive.

If you want people to keep giving you money, you need to give them a reason to do so. An apology, a new set of mechs for sale and CW in 90 days will not cut it. PGI just needs to fix its relationship with their players.

you know, i really shouldn't.

But i think it has to be said.

PGI y'all done effed up.

Rediit is not your personal advertising space. Thats what advertising money is for.

If you wanted to know if a project would suceed i would have thought you would have done a kickstarter which protects peoples money until a funds goal is met. That is the smart thing to do.

This is just, well, smdh

As a non goon I fully understood how genuinely passionate about this game you guys were. Might not have always agreed with your methods, but you'd have to be pretty blind to not see it as a sincere attempt to get it changed for what you thought was the better.

Same here duder. I got MWO free beta invite and free Hawken Alpha invites at the same time, almost days apart. I said **** Hawken and played maybe 2 games of MWO before I went "Legendary *money cannon* Let's do this damn thing".

You break the rules and get banned. Now you want different rules? Don't you think you should change your behaviour instead?
