you know , you might get more response from people and pgi if you don't make your post look like a total troll/kid post.
That said I highly doubt lore is the reasoning behind the division. Consider this fact : Who'll care to use IS gear if clan gear was installable on IS mechs ?
The point is that they are keeping clan gear seperate to make IS gear still relavant. In my opinion this is also more realistic. You can't always intergrate new tech systems with old tech systems. Imagine trying to fire a bullet from a cross bow ... it wouldn't work. or see how effective mounting a modern bvattle ship cannon on a boat from the 1600's would be. Again the decision to keep clan gear on clan only mechs is a good reason. Down the line i'm sure IS mechs wil start seeing awesome clan based/counter weapons pop up like the heavy guass and the x-pulse lasers and i dobut that tech will be useable on clan mechs when that time comes.
