Piranha and IGP seem to be willing to resurrect IP's that have collected dust and rescue them from the clutches of their lazy/shortsighted owners. I thought perhaps someone at either company may have been a fan of Dungeon Keeper and be willing to give it a look once MWO is up, running and profitable.

I realize it's an odd request (hence Off-Topic), but I will continue to hope that there is a company out there that will one day bring back the chicken smackin'. :)

I assume that they will. If I was limited to two words for my response to your statement it would have to be "Well, duh!" They're passionate about MWO, hence the founding of IGP. You don't take a leap like that unless you love what you're doing and have faith in the longevity of your creation.

Also, they wouldn't be much of a game company if they couldn't multitask.

Tie in a BattleSpace game with MWO's planetary end game map community warfare thing!

After every single 'Mech is finished, and the game is chock-full of as much content as anyone can possibly think of (including Aerospace combat =D), then I will be fine with PGI starting other games. Until then, MORE MECHWARRIOR!!

Multi-tasking is very expensive, and doesn't necessarily involve the same crew that made the originals. You'd have to hire new people to do the new projects, or move your experienced crew off your active projects to do this. While this isn't unheard of, this is what leads to places like Bioware where the original crew didn't make the sequels and you get conflicting design decisions that overall contradict the game's original theme.

I'd rather they keep their core team focused on MWO, than chase after shiny new (or old and dying) franchises.

Only 2 other games I would like to see them tackle.

Air Warrior online (long flame about EA here and where they can go and what they can do with themselves.)

Star Control 3 ( a real version)

It's the age old question! Do you do one thing very well or many things just average?

actualy, no. for most devs, "next project" means were moving on.

very few are capable of continuing to grow one game while working on making another.
