The Peacedove isn't quite that bad yet. It certainly isn't the best assault by any means, but it's not AWS-tier.

The Warhawk is an incredible mech. I have three separate builds that I run regularly and they all have a very decent KDR and W/L ratio.

Can we make it a forum rule that people who are going to post stuff like this are required to post the builds they are basing their opinions off of?

OP, please post smurfy links to your two best Masakari builds.

The Warhawk is a very good mech. It really shines when you have unlocked all elite efficiencies and get the double bonus on the basics.

I'm gonna personally ignore the "skill" and "no it isn't" arguments, and ask you what builds are you running, if possible, and what problems are you having with these builds?

That is the same for all mechs though ...

Still I agree that I cannot see the Warhawk being as bad as the Awesome .... but I do not own a Masakari so my input is limited.

In general though high energy builds are problematic when it comes to assaults because you cannot fit enough heat sinks usually.

Wait ... clans have 2 SLOT DHS ... hmmmmm

Having grinded out most of the Awesomes (waiting on dynamic hardpoint visuals to occur before finishing off the 8R)... I can say that you are totally "out there".

Then again, you are the same guy that complains LRMs are OP or are the meta... so meh.

I think the Warhawk is a pretty decent Assault 'Mech. I dare say it's better than the Dire Wolf simply because piloting a Dire Wolf is putting a big target on your back. Even the stock build with all those PPCs is functional. The B variant makes a great missile boat. You just have to run the Warhawk like a support Assault. For the better part of the match it needs to sit just behind the front line fighters and peel off armor whenever it gets the chance. Whenever I pilot one, I pick a Dire Wolf, Atlas, etc. and pretend they have me on a leash. When the team starts to get an advantage and those enemy 'Mechs are hurt, the collar comes off and then the Warhawk becomes 85 tons of still-fresh-armored energy weapons moving at 64kph (70 if you twerk). Make use of the agility and roll incoming damage around your torso, keep the throttle high, and you'll turn a losing battle into a full route.

The issue with Warhawks is NOT that you cannot fit enough heatsinks. Have a tinker with one in Smurfys and you'll see what its issues really are...

Dont get me wrong, I love my Warhawks, and it is a solid Mech with some good configs, but it does have some fallbacks and is restricted fairly heavily. IMO its in a decent place, but it could be stronger.

You know, I've never used a PeaveDove, and have never really considered them a threat. Then I try to build something...and this looks Fun.

Tad slower than a WubShee, and the Clan Wub just can't compete, but dem SRMs.

Really? Warhawk better than a Dire Wolf?

Really?

Really?

Really?

I know that was my point ;) - it is something that hinders the Awesome though not to mention XLs are a death trap for an Awesome but Clans have no death XL side torsos.

Could the Masakari be better? Maybe I don't know but I am leveling the Awesome now and I find it laughable to make the comparison even with the new AWS buff

Once upon a time, the Awesome's hitboxes were XL friendly (for the 9M/PB's sake)... then that hitbox change happened... and they were never the same again...
