Greetings,
I recently moved to Japan and I am getting a ping of around 300 since I have been here. Contacted mwo support to assist, did the tracerts and pings provided. In sort Ping is 100% packet loss and cannot tracet past #5, everything keeps timing out. Contacted my ISP, with very little help, I am getting the full bandwidth that I am paying for.
I am wondering what other international players in my (or oceanic) region has any work arounds or anything that assisted them in their pings. I am looking to cut my present ping in half to at least 140 or less. Let me know. Thanks!

Might be worth asking in the Japanese section of the forums, although it seems it has been dormant for a few months.

Contact Kageru Ikaguchi via PM, he's in Japan and may be able to help but from what I understand, his average ping is around 240 although it varies. However, expecting to get a ping of 140 or less from half way around the world may be a little optimistic

Thanks,
Although would think that our Australian friends would have a higher ping, considering that they are further away than I currently am.

300 ping for that region is very common. 140 isn't going to happen.

I am looking for assistance/workarounds, not statements of the obvious. Thanks.
And no, not everyone gets a 300 ping in my region.

Players from South Africa like me, got used to playing the game with 300 ping and more. On a good day the ping will drop to about 275!

Your out of luck. Your ping sounds like its being routed through Europe first. which then is an ISP issue. Either change ISP and hope for the better or put up. I am sorry but that sucks.
Many Au players have experienced a major ping increase since the change of the server locations. Mainly these people are on Telstra. I run on the IInet network and get 280ish. I am not being routed via Europe so i suppose i am lucky.
