Like the topic says. Tell us your greatest victory, tie or defeat. What awesome, memorable, game have you been involved in? Give us a brief recount.

I'll start.

I had unique one the other night.

I'm working on basics for the TBT-5N. Drop on Caustic one thing leads to another and the score is 8-10. Its me and a Mad Cat against a Dragon Slayer, Nova, Kit Fox and LRM boating Stormcrow. Everybody is pretty chewed up.

Our Mad Cat dies facing the Nova, but I get him with back shots. I turn to face the DS, who is cherry red CT, I take him, but now I'm out of LRM ammo. Just MLs from here on out. I turn to the Stormcrow, work on him a bit and realize he's out of ammo that that Kit Fox is opening up my back. I go for the Kit Fox, get a lucky shot on the leg, down he goes. There's 2:30 left in the match, the Stormcrow runs away at 100 KPH. I can't catch him. I chase him all over the map, can't quite reach his legs, and I've got the extended range module for my MLs. Time's up and its a tie.

Man, that was one of the most memorable games I had in a long time. To Hibiki the Strormcrow pilot, I would have done the same. Well played.

Here's a shot of the ending screen, a great game.

Piloting Grid Iron hunchback, AC 10, SRM 6, 1 matching gun and 3 medium lasers, running at 79.4 kph. My lance and I running for capture point on tourmaline desert. Get to capture point and an enemy lance is there, D-DC, ember, oxide, and a hunchy. One of my lance mates gets immediately blasted to pieces, and I run around the point shooting the hunchback while my remaining lance mates distract the rest of the enemys. I Quickly strip the armor of the hunchbacks right torso and destroy him. I turn my attention to the ember now running around me, blow off his already damaged led with a blast of my AC 10, then finish him off with some SRMs, AC shots, and machine gun fire. The enemy oxide sees how quickly I destroyed the ember and runs away. The D-DC is still distracted, get behind him and blast his back to crap. An enemy pops up on radar right about me, it's the oxide on some rocks. I back up and with a single shot of my AC I take out his center torso. Probably one of the most epic battles I have had.

Hello Apnu! Thanks for starting this thread. Good Idea :D

So... there are alot of good ones, but here's a recent one which sprung to mind immediately. i am levelling my direwolfs and have dropped in Crimson strait, on a skirmish match in my DWF-B with an experimental loadout. I think i barely have had speed tweak unlocked on it that day. So,we dropped at the SW part of the area and our company is slowly marching to regroup and advance towards the big platform at D4. I get left steadily behind due to my low top speed and see the rest of the company walking up the upper level of the platform. "i'll catch up soon enough.." i say to myself.

Right then, an enemy Jenner is spotted peaking at D5 between the mountain trying to scout and takes a few pot-shots at the friendly mechs. The WHOLE company is baited and they hit their throttles full on to get the Jenner.... I bash the comm button immediately and shout out "ITS A TRAP! DONT FOLLOW THE JENNER! GET BACK" But alas...to no avail. The momment they started marching downhill from D5, the enemy having setup defensive positions at C5-B5 slowly started tearing them apart as they tried to advance through the buildings. By the time i reach near D5 our company is already 6 mechs down. I get really pissed sayin' to myself...."F*** THIS!" and turn around alone to go through the tunnel, and try to ambush them at B5 and do as much damage as possible before our innevitable defeat....

By the time i reach the exit of the tunnel at B5 the enemy company is trying to finish off a last remaining Jagermech of ours from the group that chased the scout, leaving only me in my Direwolf and a champion trial Atlas still standing...."wait....an Atlas....?" i think as i check the company list...." WTF is he doing on B2....SH**" i shout to myself as i realise that he's totally new and taking a strawl.....*sigh*

Having amassed enough rage inside already as i see the exit of the tunnel, i immediately spot an enemy Jagermech, a hunchback and a shadowhawk and i go ..."LEEROOOOYYYY..." calling in an artillery near their position and guns blazing :) By the time the smoke cleared they were bits and pieces all over the field. At that second i was just exiting the tunnel when a large volley of missiles flies over my mech directed at our Jagermech that is crippled but still standing, to finish it off. I immediately take a left turn and climb at B4 were an enemy Battlemaster missile boat pilot suddently realises that there is something very nasty appearing from below, dangerously close. As soon as i have him on my sights i alpha continuously and "core 'im" to pieces.

At that point the rest of the enemy's forces have realised my position and try to regroup to take me out to seal their victory which starts to look more and more uncertain at this point. I maneuver into the buildings at B4, and in the within the next 2 minutes, i take out their remaining Atlas, Jagermech and Hunchback and turning the fight around. It felt rather epic and my punchline at the following screenshot says it all. :D

The great days of AC20/SRM/2xMedLas brawling in my STD Engine max jets Victor... before they nerfed it into a useless paperweight. Finished one match with one leg, no SRMs or lasers and no AC20 ammo having taken down a Battlemaster, CatK2, a Spider(who was godly and died to a bloody lucky mid-air AC20 shot) and an Atlas(who I was proud of as he hardly touched me and I took him apart).

The pre-nerf, close to stock Victor was a thing of beauty... really miss it

I was piloting my Shadow Hawk. I had a great match, but what was most surprising was the XP I earned in just a single match:

A lot of things were in alignment for this to happen: Phoenix mech, double XP weekend, first win of the day, Premium time, etc.

So there I was on HPG in my trusty HBK-4J. I drop in a lance with two Atlases and a Nova. Its Skirmish and we got the far drop point. I hit the ground running and start moving to catch up with Alpha and Charlie Lances. I wind up leaving the Atlases in the dust, where the Nova goes I have no idea, I promptly lost track of him.

I get around to Alpha and Charlie and start sending LRMs and TAG'ing targets. Its a mess. There's a champion spider all over us, and a brawling, fast moving Stalker bearing down on us. That thing had Carl Lewis track shoes, wow could it close. Anyway, the action is hot and we're suddenly down 1-2. The match goes on some more and we stay behind. That stalker decides he's had enough of LRMs from me and charges, Leroy Jenkins-style at me, so I bug out. Along the way he runs into a TDR and our Spider who tie him up and I give him LRMs and MLs for taking his eyes of the ball. It takes all three of us to take him down. We're still behind and its ugly.

Meanwhile, the two atlases in Bravo have managed to isolate themselves and I think we're doomed. Then suddenly someone calls out, "That DDC is legged!" I look and I'm amazed to see that yes, the enemy DDC is legged. I'd never seen that before, and the grind goes on. It comes down to me, The AS7-RS(C) and the spider. The game is 8-9. There is the legged DDC, a 70% HGN-733 LRM boat, the ON1-P and that Spider 5K(C) that was being such a pain.

Our spider goes after the other spider, leaving me and the AS7-RS to contend with two assaults and a heavy. The AS7-RS(C) is up under the dish, I'm outside looking in and the spiders are chasing eachother. The HGN is outside, but the legged DDC and ON1-P are up top with our Atlas. I'm low on LRMs, but lock on the HGN and let them fly until he gets under the dish. I've got no angle on the spider and everybody's got hard LRM cover and I've only got 80 missiles left so I go in to help the Atlas for what I think is the last stand.

Our Atlas strips the ON1-P of weapons, and the ON1-P flees, I didn't see it, I thought he was dead. I'm distracted by the HGN who has a UAC5 as a backup weapon and the DDC who's got LRMs and SRMs left. I pick the HGN and start to work on him with my 4 MLs, then suddenly I'm getting machine guns on my back side!

ARRG! our Spider died. But he took the leg of the enemy spider. I turn to the enemy spider because he's on the left side of our Atlas and the Atlas is already missing and arm and that torso was open. Those MGs are going to kill him if the spider notices. So I take the spider's other leg, and get a face full of SRMs from the DDC for it.

I dance around the pillars under the dish and get in behind the HGN for back shots, The guy's got more armor there than the front. He's doing a great job of twisting to protect his now open CT and I'm over heating bad. I whack my cool shot, give him two more salvos and he goes down.

While all that's going on there's an atlas amputee slug fest going on. The DDC and RS(C) are having it out and its nasty. I'm still pretty hot so I switch to chain fire on the MLs and get to work. I get the kill and now me and the Atlas are standing around not sure what to do. The score is 11-10 and we wondering who is left. We both thought the ON1-P was dead so we start hunting around for the last guy.

Nobody on our team remembers if the ON1-P died and its further confused because they had a ON1-K(C). We wander around and have a huge gulf of time to wait out. The Atlas is at 42% and by some miracle, I'm at 63%. After about a minute of looking for this last guy, somebody on chat suggests we look under in the basement. Ding! Light goes off and I head down there. I've got BAP so if he's shut down, I'll find him. And find him I do. I'm surprised to see its the ON1-P from earlier, he's all bashed up and he's shut down. I hammer him and he tries to power up to run, but never gets fully operational. Game over, the score is 12-10, and that's the best comeback win I've ever had.

Everybody in this game should take a bow, it was awesome. I hope to see them again some time.

My team was just about wiped out. It was me in my HBK-4P and just 4 of us left against 8 of them. We circle around the center of Manifold. My companions take the main focus as I dart in and out behind whatever structures I can find, I'm picking off one after another. To be fair, most enemies I hit have at least one armorless torso. So I pick my medium laser alpha carefully to each naked critical. Lucky me again, a lot of XL engines. It is a comeback win with 2 of us left (me and a torn up spider) against their last man who hid in their base. Unfortunately this is where the excitement ends as the clock ticks off the last 2 minutes of silence - couldn't risk going against the turrets and whatever he had left to fight with himself. But I ended up nearly cored but with 7 kills, 3 assists, and over 400 damage.

The best?? I have many.

I will tell you the story of the troll under the bridge. The map was Terra Terma. Team game with my buddy Zig who was in a Kit Fox. We massed for the usual attack to the middle, but things didn't work out with grinding battle over the lava. Everybody, I guess not being able to deal the massed firepower poring out, jumped off the platform and down into individual battles. As the panic subsided, I started question where was my wingman Zig.
The importance of a wingman cannot be overstated, so you when you get the help call; you answer. He gave his two digit location code and turning right; off I went not knowing what was infront of me. Round a corner I came at full speed, and what do my eyes behold. Three enemys standing on a bridge looking over one side down into the lava flow below. My phacts autocannon 20 started barking.
The first mech was a raven who never knew what hit him. The next mech in line was a cicada who had just enough time to twist around, take the 20 to the center and fall away. The last was a commando. Warned and fast I was only able to take his right arm. Down he jumped and under the bridge he went. Right at this moment I started getting calls from my wingman that he was under attack again.

I said, "where are you and what is attacking you?"

He goes "I don't where I am."

"I am under a bridge fighting with a commando."

Me "??!!??"

I jump down and arrive just in time to see him finish off the commando.

"Were you playing the troll under this bridge the whole time?"

end.

had one the other day in my vindi R that i just bought- still have no idea what i'm doing with it yet. was match 3 or so- went with 3MLs, TAG, SPL in the head (yeah i know tag is better there but dammit i want my zombie) std 200ish engine and an ALRM 10 w/ 2 tons. conquest

our lance heads to epsi (aka the i go epsi i die spot) on terra therma. sure enough we run into an enemy lance that has us outweighed. i spend the time lobbing LRMs til we're forced to retreat- we lost 2 they lost 1 but hellsinger was around 50% but kitfox and spider kept me from being able to get any more lRMs at it. hellsinger/bringer/whatever chases me a bit but i manage to lose it and get back to the rest of the group. big brawl by the little mining camp between the lava rivers just before the entrance to the PUG zapper. they have 3 to 2 cap lead at this point

i start lobbing more LRMs til my friendly hellbringer finds me again and starts shooting. again. i run around the corner and see an enemy raven overheated with that ecm spider just past it. i alpha- raven dies. hellbringer finds me again- he's under 40% and yet no one else is shooting at it. i'm around 80% (lots of glancing laser hits). finally a friendly light gets his attention and a damaged shadowhawk missing 1 arm starts shooting at me and hopping around the battlefield. i hop around too and finally finish it off.

at this point an ecm atlas wanders by and so of course i shoot it, he starts LRMing me, i tag and lrm back BUT- here's that damned hellbringer again at around 30% still trying to get me. fortunately other people went after the atlas (caps start turning in our favor at this point as we had a cap devoted light this match to swing them to our side) and so i went back after that bad penny. he was missing a side torso at that point but still had weapons and by the time we finished i lost my left arm and he (finally) died.

Atlas now starts lumbering to epsi where a couple lights trying to cap. i shoot it in the back (out of lrms at this point). no reaction. i shoot again, no reaction, finally on the third shot he starts turning but i turn with him and get another alpha in. he takes out a ML on my right arm. i do a wildly spinning hop over and hope i'm facing him when i land jump and alpha again in the back an atlas dies. i'm at about 45-50% at this point with a SPL and 1ML on my right arm left with an empty LRM launcher. we win 750 to 701 on caps (we had 3 to their 1 with one neutral). they had 1 guy left we had 5

i end up with 4 kills 3 assists and 330ish damage. not bad for a third match on a first time tested loadout. i then promptly logged as history has shown me i follow up matches like that with a 1 assist sub 100 damage match right after it.

Piloting my Misery into the center of Terra Therma, my team was getting bottled at the usual place near the entrance to the chasm, but no enemies in sight yet. I lead the way along the side platform, hoping to intice my team to follow. Some poked their heads up, others held back. As I approached the next lead-in to the chasm I picked up 3 blips on my seismic sensor. I called out to my team notifying them of the enemy position. An enemy Cataphract poked out first, I aimed for his shoulder assuming he'd have an XL. He promptly backed off as his loadout finally appeared, I was right, definitely XL, and fired a second alpha into his shoulder. Suddenly a Victor lurches forward boldly engaging me at point-blank. I quickly backpedal trying to prevent him from encircling me. Suddenly I take a hard hit to my right-torso, a quick glance reveals a PPC/AC5 Highlander across the chasm firing at me. A half-second later I recieve "incoming missile" from a Stalker perched next to the Highlander. I desperately drive forward, nosing into the Victor as I line up one of the massive cables that supports the center platform between me and the assault mechs on the far side. I'm pinned now against the side chasm; the Highlander and Stalker are losing most of their shots to the cable, but are both moving for a better firing position. My AMS is running non-stop, and my right torso has exposed internals. The Victor is now playing peak-a-boo with me from behind a pillar, but I'm doing a decent job at keeping my left torso to him while returning fire as best I can. The Cataphract pokes his head up once in awhile, but quickly backs off the moment I look at him. I backpedal carefully, trying to keep some object between me and constant firepower flying my way. I'm desperately trying to stay alive, begging my team to push.

Suddenly, I see it. Two mediums appear from the yet another entrance to the chasm, enemies, they're not quite behind me but have a clear view of my bad side. I curse under my breath. 7v1. I'm hopelessly outgunned, bitterly unsupported, and about to be completely surrounded as my team remains huddled on the bridge well clear of any enemy.

Except one.

I read the line in teamchat "Big Al intercepting". A friendly Atlas emerges into the center and charges headlong into the two mediums. Far behind him two friendlies decide to follow doggedly behind him. The Highlander and Stalker turn suddenly, focusing all their firepower on Big Al.

This is it, my big chance, I'm not going to let this opportunity slip. I emerge from my hiding spot and blow my coolshot. After a brief but vicious duel the Victor goes down. I push hard around the corner, catching the Cataphract off guard. He foolishly fires into my still-armoured left side then tries desparately to hide his open shoulder, but my LLs don't miss and he goes down. The third blip, who I didn't know until now, turns out to be a Cicada who has now turned tail to run away. I fire my AC20/PPC combo into his back, and down he goes.

I race around the chasm as fast as my Misery can march to meet Big Al on the other side. I see the two mediums are down, the Stalker and Highlander had backed down the hill away from the chasm. I arrive just in time to witness, to my horror, Big Al falling to the ground. My right torso is badly damaged, but not my right arm (mounting the 2 LLs) so I exploit the old side-peak-a-boo technique softening the mechs around the corner until finally my LLs were blown off.

Now or never... I charged over the hill with half a mech and with great pleasure finish off the Highlander, along with a few other badly damaged enemies. Our lights had to chase down the last few stragglers, as I thoroughly thanked Big Al for saving my bacon while profusely apologizing for not being able to save him.

I don't have a screenshot, but the final score had me and Big Al as top scorers by a long-shot. I will always remember that match, because it was a combination of totally hopeless into epic glory, very well executed by the Atlas, domination by "Big Al" and "Misery". Also one of my better 'survival' stories as I managed to live despite having been in such a terrible position.

Cold morning defending the HPG -- you know Comstar -- never giving us enough equipment or decent intel; we are, after all, just mercs. The drop was looking bad from the start, I took a position up on the wall, there is something fitting about having a raven perch on the top of the walls looking down on the enemy.

It didn't take long for things to bad. Their fast lance took the high-ground and kept our mechs in the open. We didn't realize it but that was just a setup for a shower of missiles that blocked out the sun. Mech after mech fell in the initial onslaught, their spotters purposely taking out or heavy guns, leaving us sorely lacking any hard punches.

I used my height advantage, firing fiery blue beams into the backs of the enemy. Always riding the top of the heat limit. I finally managed to get clearance to call in artillery strikes and managed to get the enemies attention. A full lance of the enemies turned, firing on me on the wall and I was using the structure for cover, firing and ducking, trying to buy time for my team to pull itself together. Dumb-fired missiles rained down on my position, my AMS quickly overwhelmed. I knew I had to leave.

I sped towards the back-hillside to get down off the wall, without jump jets I would break my legs falling from the wall. I didn't realize that a nova had anticipated my move. I'll give it to those clanners -- they know how to fight even the dishonoured ones who come to fight with the mercs. My target computer fed me data that his legs had already taken a few hits so I began the methodical process of taking off his legs -- first the right leg then the left. Surprisingly, I had sustained relatively little damage from the encounter but had lost precious time to reinforce my team.

My team had some damn good pilots and they used my diversion to their advantage pushing the enemy that had turned to try to feast on my raven. It’s wasn’t enough. By the time I made it back into the battlefield smouldering mechs had littered the ground, some of the pilots ejected, many were lost that day but there was no time to mourn. By my count there were 3 enemies left and I had a duty, to my comrades and the contract, to finish them off.

Rule number 1 of the Strategic Infiltration and Reconnaissance corps is don’t be seen. I moved around the battleground, hiding behind walls, destroyed mechs – anything that would give me cover – trying to locate the remaining mechs. I spotted two, hanging close to each other, a kitfox with a bad leg and a Cataphract with a few scratches on his paintjob. I picked the kitfox first, and landed a solid alpha into his damaged leg. Sparks flew as I tore it to pieces. He was too slow in figuring out where the shot came from and I unloaded another alpha into his good leg. The armor on his leg glowed white hot. Two more good shots and I’d take him out but I wouldn’t get those shots from here, the CTF pilot was reacting now and it was time to move.

I spun around and gave it the juice, my mech pounding up and down almost screaming with the sudden onslaught of power from its engine. The CTF moved towards my previous firing location and the Kitfox backed into a corner – I had nothing. Sometimes luck happens at just the right time, bad and good are just sides of the same coin and the CTF pilot flipped that coin and drew bad. He presented his back to me and I unloaded into his lightly armored rear CT. His back armor smouldered and melted. If I could position for a few more shots he would go down. I had more luck, the pilot of the CTF was overconfident that his mech would carry him through and he tried to press me. Weight is all well and good, in enclosed spaces, but in the open gimme speed and maneuverability every time.

But it’s not the arrow, it’s the archer.

I flanked him and fired again, moved and fired. It didn’t take long for him to be in shambles taking repeated hits to his rear torso. I could tell when he realized he was outmatched when he stopped and looked towards where the kitfox had barricaded himself and started towards his only hope. It was just another chain in the bad luck collar he was wearing. He turned his back towards me as he started to trundle off and one more alpha blew through his center. His ejection pod shot up before radiation cooked him and I thought about blowing his pod out of the sky but he rolled lucky on this one: I’m a killer, not a murderer.
The kitfox was an easy out, his decisions now governed by fear, drove him to keep hiding and he was not ready when I dropped down the ledge in front of him and severed his good leg at the knee. He didn’t even get a shot off.

In life, there are times when She really likes to punch you in the gut. For maximum effect, She makes sure that the punch comes right when you are at your peak so that the fall to the ground is much longer, harder and more painful. I had just dispatched 3 mechs, the damage to my bird could be buffed out, and I expected the hidden third mech to be some smouldering pile, cowering, awaiting the raven. I knew exactly where he would be, under the central transmission dish hiding in the ‘basement’.

I pushed to the nearest opening to the basement, ready to plow in, guns blazing. That’s when I took the punch to my gut. There was no smouldering mech. No whimpering injured animal waiting to be put out of its misery. There, in front of me, armor as pristine as the day he walked out of the factory, it was the Telamon, the Enduring Atlas. We looked at each other, a micro second in real time but hours in pilot time and then there was just reflex. Hard bank while letting go an alpha at his CT, spin and accelerate away with AC fire just missing my mech as I spun off. My sensors told me that his armor was barely scratched and even worse news, he wasn’t coming out of the basement to chase me.

He was Ursa, backed into his den, claws and teeth ready and I was the raven, contract bound to go in after him. I poked around the other entrances to the basement trying to peck away at him without going in but he had wedged himself back into a corner, guns facing out. Time was running out on my contract – If I didn’t get the job done soon I would lose my payout. There was no way I could chip away at his armor in time – he was a Goliath and I only had a slingshot.

But I am a raven, we pick at the soft spots and that last peek into his cave showed me a weakness to his position. If I came in from the far side I could hide behind a pillar and that would give me my chance. I was reminded of some old vids where ravens were feasting on a carcass. I remember the monotone narrator saying that the eyes were the first part of the corpse to go; that the ravens would often fight over them -- the enduring atlas has very big eyes.

So here is my plan, I have one minute until my contract expires, a place to safely stop my mech for a second without getting blown apart and an Atlas with one big eye socket and my aim is steady. No time to wait, no time to breathe. I go, full speed and duck behind the pillar, the Atlas fires missing behind me and the rest hitting the obstacle between us. I peek forward, fully taxing my optics to the maximum zoom, place the cross hair on that big red eye and fire everything.

I expected a puff of smoke and the atlas to crumple. Like I said, life, She likes to make you hurt. That’s when She gave me the second punch. I was more than a little surprised when my targeting computer showed me that his head structure was still in place protecting him. It would take another full alpha to finish him off. He had already started moving to come around the pillar. It was me or him so I stopped, took a deep breath. It’s when you are stuck in a situation like this that you realize how long it takes your weapons to charge. Mere seconds to someone watching is a series of painful lifetimes to the vulnerable mech pilot.

Charged!

Atlas clear of the obstacle!

Fire!

I had a fun one in an adder....

Map was canyon network.

We were down 2-3 mechs at the mid game point, but our remaining mechs were fairly well organized, and we pushed on their position.

I has 2 LL and 2 ML on my adder... I was on the high ground and I finished off one of their mechs, when ran into an almost fresh victor.

I dumped an alpha into his CT and then ran away. I fired 1 more good CT shot (which was easy as he was charging straight towards me), and then I lept into the canyon with no regard for my leg health, managing to avoid most of his weapons.

When i jumped into the canyon, I saw that our Orion was tangling with an atlas. I layed an alpha strike into the atlas, and then immediately looked back at the canyon cliff, where I was expecting the victor to appear. And he did appear, basically at that exact moment. I shot 1 more alpha strike into his CT, which killed him and overheated my adder.

When I powered back up, I turned back to the atlas, and shot him once more. I then ran to the side of the canyon to get into cover. The atlas finished off the friendly Orion, and he was coming for me. His CT was beat up, though, so I gave him an alpha strike. He died, and I shut down. Again.

While powered down, I started getting hit in the back by lasers and machine guns. It seemed like I was powered down forever, and I knew I was close to death.

Seemingly, out of nowhere, a teammate appeared behind the enemy mech, which was a firestarter, I beleive, and blew him away with a single back shot.

Game over.

I auto-powered up after the match was complete to find my back armor was completely gone, and my CT internals were crimson red.

I think I had like 4-5 kills and between 800-999 damage, but it felt much more epic than that.

it was a cap game, both pug groups as far as i could tell, in canyon .we fought hard going back and forth ,finally other team got and held a cap. My fellow mechwarriors charged in, dying horrendously, i was picking mechs off with my 2 ermls and missiles on my adder when ever possibly .I was in bottom of a canyon killing off a mech near ramp west side.there was me and 1other left in our group and they still had four mechs left.their counter was up 700 plus.An enemy mech pushes in from ramp i blow offf his left torso and finish him with an perfect 180 m range missile volley ,almost overheating.Above me on my left A dire and a light pop up on edge of canyon.I hit dire with point blank lrms and my ermls critting him out ,counts at 710. the light i leg then kill him by his ammo going up with my flamer, counts at 720. my bud is fighting last mech a direwolf, i let go with my last 10 lrms, counts at 730. I spun around heading east of ramp swing back on dire near top of canyon i light him up with both ermls my heat is spiking as i have already lost a heatsink or two ,counts at 745.my buddy cashes out.I hit dire with my Flamer counts at 748, my heats spikingshutting down , i hit my override 749 and.... he goes down and game ends .I thought we had lost but he was the last enemy mech so we won with 1 second left on timer. The comments after were bhodi bhodi, Epic, LOL, and WTF? :) just wish i had screenshot of it .

Here is one I posted a while back.
Our lances dropped in the Tourmaline Desert. I was the last to drop and pushed the throttle of my AS7-D in a febble attempt to catch up. I noticed a trial Blackjack to my left that wasn't moving and didn't respond to comms, "great". A few more steps and we lost comms with our Raven 3L and I remember an old quote from a vid about a deal getting worse all the time. The rest of us move forward and before long a Jenner is spotted, he is within range of my LRMs but we can't maintain a solid lock so I don't waist the ammo and he retreats back to his advancing team. That's when they start popping up on radar, Dragon, Highlander, Jagermech, Cicada (2 of them, horayyy!). Our forces can't keep a solid lock so I stow my LRMs for now until I get a clearer shot, that's when I see the Highlander sitting pretty on a ridge only 450 metres away. I lock my LRMs and let them loose, just before they hit I nail his CT with my Gauss and 4 medium lasers. I figure he just got a rude awakening and would drop down behind cover but he suprises me and drops down the ridge and advances. He has to maneuver around some crystal formations to get a good shot so I reposition with 2 of my buds to meet him. I take a few steps forward eager to down our first mech when I discover why that Highlander was so confident, he brought friends.

An Atlas D-DC and a Jagermech were following his charge. I slammed my mech into reverse and let loose my Gauss and medium lasers, Damn they are too close for my LRMs. To my suprise the Highlander goes down so I follow up by firing on the quickly advancing Atlas as he pushes through our position. That's when I noticed that the Jagermech is moving a little too fast so I drop my crosshairs on his right torso an let loose my Gauss-laser combo and to my suprise he drops like a bought prize fighter. I turn to face the Atlas only to see the Cicadas and Jenner joined him in over running our postion and the next minute is just a blur of weapons fire as I shoot whatever falls on my crosshairs until the Dragon and Catapault join them. My team is falling so I gamble on the Dragon (can never seem to get a good solid hit on those) and aim for the left torso. Again luck seemed to be on my side and he went down on my one-two punch. I turn and fire on one of the Cicadas and miss, he's too fast to nail down and there is too much cover near by, but his buddy is unfortunate enough to overheat as I drop my crosshairs on him. I let loose the old one-two into his right torso and see that satisfying explosion, but them he powers back up. Crap! A standard engine and he's starting to move! Come on Gauss, recycle! There he goes serpentine, I take a wild shot and it connects with a satisfying explosion.

I turn to my right and see two of my team fighting with the Atlas and Cicada so I fire at the Cicada since he decided to sit still but he absorbs the hit and takes off running. That's when betty let's me know that the Jenner has been carving up my rear armour like a Christmas turkey. I turn left to see a Catapault so I plug the old one-two into his centre torso and he up and runs off over a rise, chicken (thank God). The Jenner is flying around me like a mosquito but is kicking like a mule. I got to protect my rear torso so I back up into a fortunate alcove and force the Jenner to come at me through my Gauss and lasers. That's when I noticed he had just taken out my Gauss, great. Then it got real quiet and I had the time to notice that they still had 4 active mechs while we had been whitled down to two. The last one was a Huchback and he was headed for their base. All the enemy mechs were on my position so I waited until the Hunch got to their base before I peeked out to see the Jenner running after him, so that leaves 3 mechs for me, yay!

I turn to my right to see the enemy Atlas just standing there smoking so I put him out of his misery and step up to the rise as our Hunch downs the Jenner but unfortunately the Cicada followed the Jenner and the Hunch's armour was being burned away. I look down to notice the Catapault and alpha everything I got to take him down, thankfully he obliged. Now that Cicada...

Our Hunch is dancing in circles but it is apparent that he is loosing. I throw my throttle up to full and thunder towards them at 54kms. My heart is pounding, I have a lock but he's out of range. Seconds pass and he's in range but they are fighting behind cover, damn. I finally get in range an let loose my LRMs and that's when our Hunch goes down and I loose my lock. Moments later the Cicada runs into view and I start firing. He is using cover well and not many of my LRMs are connecting as I move forward. Thankfully I'm having better luck with my lasers and his centre torso is hurting, unfortunately I'm out of LRMs as I find my self near their base and the Cicada is using cover very effectively to flank me. So I turn around and start backing towards their base as the Cicada runs into view. I blast him with my lasers, he's hurting but not down and is starting to circle around me. I instinctively turn towards him which is a mistake. I should be counter turning but luck is on my side and he turns wide letting me drop my crosshairs on him. One more shot and he is a smoking wreck and I think I might have to change my shorts.

Well played mechwarriors. Tauwolf, hats off to you and your terrifying Cicada.

Not a huge story, but....

I was the last one my team. ON1-M, pretty beat up. (1 LPL, 2 Mlas, 3 SRM4A)

I'm separated from my team, who are pretty much being finished off by the rest of the enemy team, off somewhere else and I'm by myself. Come upon a fresh DWF, obviously left behind by his faster teammates. Big time OH SH*T moment. I manage to get a few good volleys into him... then the guy blows off my right arm and right torso.
I'm down to 1 srm4 and a large pulse, my paperdoll is lit up all yellow and red. Somehow manage to keep rolling the damage off my smoking chassis... long enough to peel off some of his weapons. Finally manage to take him out by knocking out both his torsos. Not much left of me after that, and his last couple of teammates swoop in to finish me off

Gotta love those kind of epic showdowns. Deceased members of both teams were handing out props to both of us after watching the fight.

So i decide to test some cooldown modules with QKD-IV4,first test was LBX-10 cooldown, did not work well, saved that for my Dragons.Next i load up AC5 and SRM6 modules and try AC5+ASRM12+2 medium lasers loadout.HPG Manifold pops as a map,me likes, since it favors close range engagements.
Things progress as a steady deathcircle,i get my rear torso cored, but otherwise ok,enemy leads by 2 kills,i rush an overheated enemy mech and pound him into submission,3 uac jagermech tries to save his friend, but i out-dps the jager and avoid most of his uac-shells.I look at the scoreboard,it says 5-3 in the enemys favor.3 enemy camp at the top,i somehow get pinned down and decide to rush them since thats the only way out,Centurion and Raven flee,Mad Dog challenges me,but i blow out his side torsos and carry on,then i see Sparky harassing a friendly Adder,i drop to the cellar and finish the wounded Sparky.
Intense firefight ensues,i leg the Centurion and get shot in the back by a Raven.

Nice game overall,prob my top3 games in a IV4
