Electing A Player "council" Of Sorts

I've seen many of the names provided and while many of those players are great posters, very helpful to new players etc, their ideas on balance differ much from many of the other players out there who actively discuss and consider balance from anything approaching an attempt at objectivity.
I think PGI should simply open a thread allowing for ideas to be tossed in with HEAVY moderation. Not a regular thread that can (and likely will) dissolve into needless arguments, theorycrafting and sidebars (not to mention the personal attacks).
A thread where players can offer their thoughts and then....the next poster offers theirs and so on. In a heavily moderated thread, what discussion that does develop would be only an outgrowth of people seeing each other's counterpoints and returning to edit their threads with better thought out, considered options.
If folks feel compelled to become argumentative, backbiting etc...the mods delete the post or the portions irrelevant. Heavy moderation in this form of feedback can actually be helpful in keeping the ideas coming, with the theorycraft disagreements becoming pandemic.

This would take people revealing their transaction records- which I actually have no problem with, but others might not.
Add that to the list. You spent at least $30 on the account in some form, you get a vote. One.
That's something even the :tenbux: crew should be able to get behind.

But thank you for demonstrating to all here why no serious Forum poster remotely pays you any mind.
I followed the stench of course, and you indeed have lent me several likes in the past when I've fallen in line with the status quo, but you'll say anything including lies to save your own face because that ego has grown so large it makes such a superb target.
You'd be surprised how many players who avoid these forums because blowhards like yourself dominate them come to me in personal messages with thanks for being the voice of reason, or standing out against something unjust. just doing my part in reminding you how so many pay me piece of mind, which is why you only reply when it suits you because as a "social general" you haven't got the legs to stand on from sitting in that arm chair for so long.

Electing someone who is unable or unwilling to contribute on these forums presents the exact same problems. I believe those players can contribute greatly as advisers but lack the visibility required for a counsel seat.

I'm throwing my vote in for Koniving. He's intelligent, positive, and collected. I've never talked to him or played with him, but he's got good ideas all around.

Are you not a member of the community?
(Just figured one could modify the OP here rather than start a whole new thread of the exact same type- in order to direct conversation towards the persons in question, and possible additions.)

Some items that pop into my head:
If as a community we cannot even agree on how to get a council together why should PGI listen to it?
If as a community we cannot agree on its members why should PGI listen to it?
We need to accept other people have there own views no matter how much we disagree with them or this will just degenerate.
In no way should this be a permanent position and should change fluidly. There will be lots of frustration and burnout.. as getting a consensus in the MechWarrior community is like trying to heard many glaring's of cats while wearing a suit made entirely of laser pointers.
(Note: A group of cats is referred to as a "clowder" or a "glaring", a male cat is called a "tom" or "tomcat" (or a "gib", if neutered), an unaltered female is called a "queen", and a pre-pubescent juvenile is referred to as a "kitten".)
If the topic is a technical discussion bring in the people who like Homeless bill... If it is a competitive subject redo council with people like JagerXII... If its about community relation problems with PGI.. bring in Roadbeer..
If this truly is a new era we all have to somehow find a way to work together..

After, the guys and gals we decide on, should organise a different thread, to discuss the Topic of ECM in itself.
This is, just to be seen as suggestion thought
i would think, 5 people would be a good start for a "council team"
In theory this is a good idea. I haven't been here long enough to say who should be on it. This I will say if this happens I guarantee there will be people who will not be happy, 2 reasons 1. there are those who are never happy about anything & 2. they're not on the council.
