So Do I need to stay up till the dark hours of the morning to find a dev or are they going to be staying late into the evening so that we even see one on the servers here in the other part of the world that isn't North America ... ?

I have only ever seen one dev on the servers in 2 years ... so 50 is going to be a push !

You only have to kill 1 dev to get the medallion. I just finished streaming 2hrs of dying horrible deaths. I'll be on late (early for you) tomorrow as well.

I have a couple on my friends list. They are usually on and off quite often daily. Hell, Russ has been on frequently over the last couple days and even into the AM his time last night. They are there, its just a needle in a hay stack. Hang in there, got mine last year and have only seen 1 personally hanging in another mech.

I like the idea of a rare and hard to obtain cockpit dangly doodad.
That said, I was on for a good many hours last night/this morning and hadn't heard of anyone spotting the elusive lesser-spotted dev.

So clap your hands everybody and shout, "I BELIEVE IN DEVs!!!".
...and be vewwy, vewwy, qwiet....

Next 51+ get the dangly doodad only.

"Kill a Dev Weekend Sept 12th 10 AM PDT to Sept 16th 10 AM PDT
First 50 players to get a Dev Kill Receive 500MC and a "Killed a Dev" Hanging Item (PLayers can only win the 500 MC once)
After the first 50 players Kill a Dev a dev kill reward is "Killed a Dev" Hanging Item (you can win multiple hanging items)

I was on 3 hours last night.

Only saw 1 person I recognized who actively posts on the forums.

Is it common for a lot of people to post exclusively on the forum & not drop in game?

The only forum posters I see with regularity are Koniving, Bishop Steiner & maybe a few others.

Elo plays a large factor, in addition to group vs solo queue. I usually see folks like McGral18, XX Sulla XX, E N E R G Y, Adiuvo, Heimdelight, Gas Guzzler, Kyle Wright, MischiefSC, Khobai, and a few more that regularly drop in the group queue, often on the other team (because my Elo absolutely hates me).

During the solo and leaderboard tournaments I'll usually see more recognizable names that I haven't seen before, likely because they're either always playing solo, or seldom come to the group queue.

Funny thing.
20min ago i incidentally found out i somehow got Dev kill medallion.
More so i also got 500MC.

But for everything on world i dont know when, how and who i got.

Things like these should use some announcer or something.

Might tweak this challenge two ways - with a reward/achieve to a team that keeps their Dev alive, and a reward/achive for those that assist in the Dev kill.
