Ok so given that gravity is 9.8 m/s^2 and fall damage starts at 30 m/s why is it that I take fall damage sufficient to destroy my leg after stepping off of a pebble?

At one point i started crunching the numbers aside from G=32.2 ft/s(before it was changed to meters), and getting the ingame distance from meters(1m=3.808ft), everything is relatively done properly to scale...but somehow a 16m/52ft CN9 seem too way too tall

My guess it has to do with the variation of each planet(map) and what they are basing the 1.0(Prime) on. I'm assuming 1.0 refers to earth gravity, but that might be the error.

ps. Basically at that height, if you fall little over half your Mech's waist, you will incur leg damage.

Gravity was bumped up to 3x at some point because people don't understand physics.

Gravity was bumped because given how tall mechs were and how long it took for them to fall (even though physically accurate) ,people complained that they felt to "floaty"

You just said the exact same thing as I did, only with more words.

Anyhow - my locust is hurting a great deal from small falls and i kindly ask to get it fixed.

Also nothing stops from showing correct speeds in hud - does it? because if you have speed and time of fall - you can pretty much work both G and height out - and what you see now is not pretty (28m high locust on a world with 1.4g). Then again - coudnt care less if not for so much damage to my locust legs from falls (that mostly come from *strange* climbing system).
