Storm crow, DIrewolf, Stalker ETC.. they walk so fancy like a toy just to be honest please let them walk with respect to their weighs like for example.. the ATLAS, i think they are carefully designed by the best programmers out there before embedding it to the game. They run andwalk perfectly. i just hope PGI just do the same with the other mechs please review other mechs they really need some fixing. Watch Mechwarrior 4 Video look at how Uzuriel mech walks you should follow that. Make them walk like mechs.

Yes, a lot of the 'Mechs don't seem to have very well weighted animations. The Dire Wolf, for example, should be stalking- not prancing lightly.

Most of the walking animations are just too.. Floaty looking, there is no personality to their stride.

They don't really have powerful or graceful animations as some of the IS mechs do with the animations.

Take a mech like the Banshee, or the Atlas, the way they rock their hips, swinging their awesomeness on the battlefield.

Atlas above all, that walk has personality, its just strutting along with pride about how he's going to walk all over you and look sexy as hell doing it.

The best runner i've seen so far is the Catapult! Just perfect. i like it when they run and make a turn its feet seems to counter the centrifugal force and balance itself. Body has a very good gyro am i correct?

The Direwolf and Stalker look like they are walking on their toes. It's quite comical.
The Catapult has the perfect walking animation for reverse joint legs.

I really like the Storm Crow's walk. It looks like, wait for it, some kind of bird of prey running around the battlefield.

The direwolf looks like the walk animation is faster than its movement speed.

Worst running animations in the game, hands down:

Pinocchio Commando being pulled along by invisible strings.

Hippo Ballerina Awesome, doing 85 kph with its short, chubby legs desperately trying to keep up. It looks fine at 50-60 kph. Anything above that, it just looks ridiculous. And sounds like a marching band with nothing but big drums.

Most are fine. Also, I think many of the clan mechs run/walk fine too, they remind me a lot of older MW titles, MW2 especially, likely more because the knee joints dont quite animate right then anything, but the old nostalgia fan in me likes the throwback enough to not complain.

They recently fixed the Raven to run really awesome, like a raptor or bird of prey. So they have the ability and the talent to do that, its just with the new clan mechs i'm sure they havent been able to put the time into it.

I think of them as placeholders.

The Hunchback is one of my favorite mechs because of it's well made cockpit and walking animation.

The hunchback is one of those mechs that make me feel like this when I'm piloting it (even when I dont' always do well in it):

"I'm half the size of an Atlas but I'm gonna mess you up just as bad as one if you mess with me."

If you want to get picky. ALL mechs walk cycles are wrong. Weight shift should be side to side as the center of adjusts to balance lifting a leg into the air. Ankle twist is one way humans 'turn' while 'idle' and walk. Over time I got over all the issues with the mechs. I would rather have PGI spend resources on CW and other goodies that are NEEDED.
