Round 2 for the King Crab.

This is how I am passing my time while I wait for some 100 ton action.

The reason: 2 Auto Cannon and Gauss Rifle slots, plus a missile and energy hard points to boot.

I think though round 2 looks better, you should just look up the original from 1st edition Tech Readout 2750. I prefered the large flat top of that one, these new renders are too round. though you scetch is really well done.

Get rid of the smiley face cockpit and you might have an interesting mech, otherwise it looks kinda silly.

If you want to get a little creative, I always thought the king crab's arm weapons would look awesome if the 'claws' closed over the gun (when shut down, manually do it, w/e).

I want the King Crab in.

Such a beast with the Dual AC arm hard points (Thank god for hard points making the game interesting).

Off to play StarCraft 2.

I like the first one better just because it looks more simple/easier to repair. Not saying either looks bad though, they're both epic.

The crabs weapon Hard points are epic.
My Assault mech of choice.

I like the 50 ton Crab light as well for my medium unit :).

I'm not a particular fan of the King Crab since i hadn't really heard about before i visited Sarna last month.
This allows me to stay neutral when giving constructive advice. And that's for the best right?

I really like how you mounted the torso mounted weapons in the image above. It is in a similar construction style that the dev's have for the MW:O mechs.
The added parabolic dish did not go unnoticed either. Nice touch.

Wish MW:O had ammo feeds like the ones that go to the arms...This less streamlined look allows you to add more details.
I'd say keep it that way because you are on the right track.

The cockpit needs to be more like the other pics though.

I liked the double toed feet better than the single toed ones in the pic above.

The King Crab with the Hard point system is a mech that can mount 2 Gauss Rifles or Dual AC20's.
Also it should be out on the field with all the houses unlike the Merc Dragoon only units? (imp and co).

The Altas is meh compared to what I can do with the King Crab to boost its fire power.

It's looking great! I've always loved the King Crab even with the horrible art of previous renditions. The idea of moving through a city and just blitzing enemy 'Mechs with double AC20 shots and melting away is just to good an idea to pass up :)

Remember it can go to Dual Gauss Rifles in the arms for more targeting !!!!

It ****** all over the atlas layout.
Smart Battletech players would know this looking at how the game plays with the arm movement/hard points.
This thing reworked with new tech can also go toe to toe with a Dire Wolf Version A.

Star trek my dual AC 20's/Gauss Rifles Clanners!.

XL light engine and double heat sinks.

Gauss Rifle 1 = 15 Damage
Gauss Rifle 2 = 15 Damage
ER large laser = 8
ER large laser = 8
LRM 20 = 20

66 damage at long range

Vs the clan 100 toner (Dire Wolf)

4 ER large Lasers = 40
2 Ultra AC 5 = 20
LRM 10 = 10

70 damage at long range.
