Just a thought. If you die, dc, then immediately jump in another mech and start another game, your increased rate of games will probably cover any xp or c-bills you might lose by leaving early.

Pretty sure you get everything you're entitled to if you dc after death though.

You only get what you earned to the time of your DC. Any assists from enemy kills after your disconnect will not be added (Especially if you were the top damager, this could get a large portion fo Cbills and XP), If you launch a UAV you will only be credited the UAV related rewards while you are connected (ECM counter UAV assisted damage etc.).

In the end it is up to the player to choose the possibility of a larger income from a running match or the possibility of a parallel income from changing mechs and playing a different match.

That only happens if your team lost. If they won, your loses from assists under the new reward system will be much, much more.
Plus, it's always better to stay and review the results of one's actions. That way you (or we) can cut down the bad decisions, work on the good ones and improve as a result.

OP, if you are looking for a dev response, it probably won't be in the New Player help section. Best bet for a full answer is to post in the Karl Berg thread or ask Russ on Twitter.

I did not find a better place to put this post, so I just used the New Player section, but I'll keep that in mind for later. As you can see at the buttom of page one, Nikolai Lubkiewicz responded to me on e-mail clarifying this issue.

I feel this is the wrong approach if PGI wants to prevent ppl from harvesting. If you quit after dying, you're not harvesting at all. If you quit before you die, you might be. Players quiting after death should be fully credited for their match. This do not prevent harvesting at all, but it do prevent ppl from getting the CB thay should have, either in the ongoing match if they quit, or in the match they could have played if they did not stay ingame watching.

BTW: In this tread I also made a vote on how to deal with discos and AFKs, people that could be potential harvesters.

Nice if more people partisipated on the vote.
