In the Townhall you/Russ stated that the "pre-purchasers" of the clans and loyal customers would get the gift clan mech. There are other threads here stating that those who bought the top tier clans pack would get it along with buying the top tier pack coming.

Now with that said, I bought the top pack of phoenix and the masakari pack for clans. However I was not able to play the game for a few months and did not "pre-order" them. So, is it those that pre-ordered or those that simply bought the top tier packs will get the gifted mech?

its a clan mech, so whoever bought the first clan pack that this one gets it that is what was stated

A free clan mech for anyone who's purchased a package would make me happy. If it's only for folks who got the clan pack? Less so.

One would think that might include any Founders who are still active.

But yea, people will know come whenever. It isn't as though knowing whether you will get a free mech, or not, is going to impact anyone's behavior.

rumour is its a one off mech you can't buy in game, can't sell = ptw..

I don't know the answer but from a business point of view I don't think there is any reason to differentiate between those who pre-purchase and those who bought them after they were first delivered.

I heard it as being whoever bought the top end of clan pack 1 & clan pack 2, with that person having had to have purchased the top end of both.

It is not clear what constitutes the top end, whether it means say, masakari pack for clan pack 1, or gold mech, or a slightly lower tier, or what.

Nothing was stated around whether there is a requirement that the purchases were pre-orders prior to first delivery of clan pack 1, or not, but I would be surprised if it were limited to early adopters as they are planning to keep clan pack 1 for sale, and will probably use the extra mech as a draw to sell more clan pack 1's in addition to the new clan pack 2.

It is understood that more information will be released at the beginning of next week, possibly Monday, however there is not necessarily a fixed day due to ongoing operational transition from IGP.

I.e. Those of you who spent $240 + $120 will get a "free" 'mech.

I don't know about you, but I think $360 is anything but "free" - even if it means you get 14 'mechs instead of 13.

He indicated it would be the same pricing as the first 8. Since it is only 4 this time it will be Tier1-Tier2-Tier3-Tier4 $30-$60-$90-$120.

Anyone that has bought both Wave 1 and Wave 2 Clan packages at the highest tiers will get the free Clan mech later this month.

My guess is that they are ending the Wave 1 sale soon and want to sell as many of Wave 1 packs as possible before then (i.e. before they are all available for c-bills). Offering a free Clan mech is a good way to do it.

As for the Clan mech, it will probably be in the same vein as the founder's mechs are in that once the offer is expired, it will no longer be available. Also, I doubt it will be a new chassis. Most likely an existing Clan mech but with different geometry and camo pattern and possibly a loyalty bonus.

Whatever the mech is, i imagine it will still be for sale separately; just that people meeting the criteria get a free one.

The mechs cost way too much to develop to have any exclusive chassis. I'm sure it will all make lots more sense after the actual announcement goes up next week.
