It's been a long time since I read those forums extensively, but the "new" proposal of forming a player Council to set up a dialogue on ECM stirred me from my exile/retirement.

"Maybe there's a chance to actually have something done right in this game", was my thought.
And then, community proves me wrong again.

This simple task is going downhill (imo), due to an impressive amount of bickering amongst ourselves.

While we have people embracing the idea, and actually working on making it happen (see the thread about it there :http://mwomercs.com/...s/page__st__700), we have also people complaining about the limits/rules of this group, or refusing the idea of it.

May I stress this part : THIS IS A "PROOF OF CONCEPT" TRY.

While I'm not sure this will do anything, this offer by PGI is there, and should be taken, and even embraced by the Community, without second thoughts.

To those thinking ECM is bad : this is your chance to do something about it.
To those thinking ECM is good : This is alslo your chance to have your voice heard.
To those fearing this council : it's the first try, it can be changed.
To those fearing "bias" : Better to have an unified vision, than the swirling chaos of people advocating at the same time that something is OP and UP.

Just for once, community, get together, try something new, and help this game you love. You'll have this one chance only.

As Closed-beta member, and a huge PGI skeptic (borderline PGI Hater, may I say), I am willing to try that. Yes, maybe it's another delaying tactic, but if you can't prove to PGI that the community can produce an unified feedback, what do you expect they will do ?
