I've seen the exact opposite numbers 10 minutes back-to-back with numbers just like these. The queue fluctuates based on who is joining it, and it doesn't update very fast.

Yes, it does fluctuate, however over time, Heavies and Assaults always outnumber the Lights and mediums. It just does and I do not think to many folks can argue that point.

There are definitely extremes, even though the heavies usually get the highest percentage and lights the lowest, it still does fluctuate quite a bit. I've seen mediums being the highest percentage quite a bit (especially after the MC Nova and such). I don't see this as too big of a problem, most teams still seem to have a good balance of mechs.
Problems in this game imo are elsewhere, the queue and matchmaking seems fine now, a bit slow, but ok.

Well, when mechs made for combat against infantry and vehicles are put up against mechs made to kill other mechs... That's what happens.

I like playing heavies/assaults but it's obvious they need to give players significant incentives to play lights and mediums. There should be big c-bill bonuses to playing a light/medium. Like double the current payout.

And it jumps like that because theres not many people playing unfortunately. The more people, the less statistical anomalies. Itd even out if there were thousands of players.
The only thing ive seen consistently always high...is heavies. And that makes sense. Theyre all around the best mechs. Not to slow, not to light, pack a good punch, arent going to be priority to take down. Alot of reasons to drive a heavy.
There should at least be a bonus to cbills based on weight class of your target. A hunchie taking down an Atlas should surely make more than an Atlas taking down an Atlas. A locust taking down an Atlas should get a lulzsize bonus for accomplishing this.

Playing a light atm (Raven-3L). Its pretty fun, getting plenty of kills, assists and even a few victory's.

Sorry, I was having too much fun using the WubShee and carrying hard in the PUG queue.
In the group queue I could use an Ember...but while PUGging it can be rough.
