I personally expect to be making MWO at least that long.
Everyone can make their own decision, we appreciate every vote of confidence
Give me a list of questions to answer and I will review it.
Along with a promise that you and every other alt account will focus on moving forward.
Absolutely! The line in the sand was the removal of IGP and it's been outstanding since that went official/public. Everything that transpired before is in the past. It's a new era for MWO and PGI and I'm gonna be here playin till the day they turn off the servers (R.I.P. WAR).

I wish Igp was the force who pulled pgi and Mwo into a different course than pgi wanted to go with mwo. How ever i would like to have an official comment about that topic than rather assumes from the community
Having an offical comment on that topic could do wonder about ppl who remain to be dissapointed about pgi´s course over the 2 years.
It could create a situation where ppl understand why things went wrong over the last couple years

Yeah but professionally they cannot throw IGP under a bus and not face consequences from the industry. All about not burning bridges and all.

Thanks Machine a reasonable comment.
It is something I desperately want to do but I also have to tread lighter than I care to on the subject for reasons you can probably guess at. However that doesn't preclude me from potentially saying some things that still might help a great deal. Let me put this on my list but I finally have been able to get the player feedback process to the top of the list and I want to deal with that now as priority.

Official Developer Update
[Jun 15, 2012 5:00 PM UTC
Hey MechWarrior fans,
[As we head towards the Founder’s Program, I wanted to update our loyal fans on what exactly they are buying, the MWO beta timeline and what this means for you. A press release and email will go out on June 19th to launch the program, but for extra clarity I’ll go over some critical points here for you:
We will achieve our Closed Beta 1 status (measured by a goal of sending out 10,000 beta keys in total), in the next week or so. Our next step is introducing the Founder’s Program time-limited offer (which includes new details!), launching Tuesday June 19th which guarantees Closed Beta access on the Injection date.
On July 10th, we are scheduled to move to our production hardware, allowing many thousands of simultaneous players to enjoy the game, also known internally as the launch of Closed Beta 2. As we continue to ramp up the beta testers (drawn from those early purchasers of the Founder’s Program), the next milestone is the injection of the Founder’s Program assets on Aug. 7th.
Yes, this date has shifted from July 17th to Aug 7th simply due to some key production hardware being delayed in arriving at the data center – proper testing on the new production hardware, ensures confidence the system can handle the demands of the exclusive Founder’s Program, hence the shift. [/color]
Come Aug 7th when the patrons of the Founder’s Program gain access, the game will still be in Closed Beta 2, with on-going patches added every 2 weeks; therefore, not every feature we have discussed on the web site will be playable. We expect to have each of the features we have announced and discussed on the website (with one exception), in the game by the Open Beta date (which cannot yet be announced other than Summer 2012).
The one exception is the Community Warfare pillar which is a complex system but extremely important. In not wanting to delay the game, logic dictates it be added post-launch. Once fans are completely familiar with creating their 'Mech and pilot trees, the depth of Community Warfare will be added, with the core of the community experience projected to be in-game within 90 days of open beta.

The above text is from russ. Written in 2012. He said that cw will be in game (not sure if hole Cw or just phase 1 ) 90 days after open Beta.
So my question to you russ:
How did it come that you made the promise about the cw and an announced eta but you couldnt deliver it?
Cw was supposed to be in game in January/February 2013 in game.
Then cw was again announced for summer/fall 2013 and hasnt been added too.
Later- end 2013 and 2014. the ui2 was the reason for the delayed cw. The famous "bottleneck"
"I hope Mr. Russ blah blah"
Just your tone, I'm even surprised he replied to you.

Nearly impossible to effectively answer via written text in the forums. Excellent subject for our next town hall perhaps? Be nice if we could buckle down on the player feedback process and come back to these critical questions in a town hall setting.
That would certainly be ideal from my perspective.

Community Warfare has been announced 3 times within 2 Years now and has been delayed at least 2 times. Cw as it has been planned and accouned before even closed beta was one of the most important core elements if not the most important core element in the hole game.
Thats why the cw delays were a big reason imo why ppl stop playing the game; or felt scammed; or lost trust into pgi´s words. To have an answer to that question might help alot more than not answering it. Mister Russ offered me to ask him a questions. I appreaciate his latest effort to get in direct touch with the community.
Sometimes you need to moove into the past to understand things. But you rather think clearing things in the past is "beating a dead horse" with which i dont agree.

Oh and my reply I was referring directly to Machine, and I was surprised you replied given his tone. Props to you
I would agree. However I think some people, referring to certain recent posters, should probably clean up how they would speak. Too many people being way too aggressive, if we have any hope of getting anything done in a Town Hall they would need to be civil I guess is the best term I can think of.

The tone in this hole thread was pretty reasonable and civil(besides one poster on page 2-3 perhaps). Your polorizing attidue doesnt makes things better.

Agreed, if you let some of these folks speak to you however they want and then be rewarded with a quality response, all you do is encourage the behavior. There is nothing wrong with the devs insisting all communications be done in a mature and civil matter. Any question violating this requirement should pushed to the bottom of the list, to be answered only after the question is phrased appropriately.

I've always liked the analogy that states,"there is a reason why the windshield of your car is big and the rear view mirror is small...it's because one's focus is best kept looking forward. Spend too much time worrying about whats behind you and you lose sight of where you need to be going."

The better question is, why was there no explanation for the delays? That's all I was ever looking for.
