About the quirks...might Victors get a reduction/removal of their previous negative agility quirks, now that they can't really poptart well anymore and they're facing the Clans?"

Yes it will be flushed for the new quirks
Russ Bullock http://mwomercs.com/...uss-a-proposal/

Great news Russ. I paid cash for all my Victors and I hate the way they handle now (Like an Atlas with less armor and hotter.).

In advance of this please please make it handle like a mech that is only five tons heavier than a Timber Wolf. I want to enjoy playing the lightest of assaults that handles great for an assault and is fast and fun to play.

Hopefully it will fix some of this. :)

I think it might be approaching the time to undust my 2 UAC/5 + 2 LL Victor.

I don't know why they don't quirk them into specific roles.

Slap PPCs into the left arm of the Victor? No more windage for your arm!

I'd also love to see quirks for using standard engines over XLs. Since they originally said the reason for the nerf was Victors were too maneuverable when they had huge XL engines, so they nerfed it's agility using high rating XLs to be in line with the other mechs. Which gimped ALL of us that prefered the standard engine builds.
-XL Engine over 350 gets -15% torso twist rate
-Standard engine gets +5% torso twist rate

PS: I really just want my stock 320 VTR-9S to be good again.

They did not gimp them inline with other mechs of the size them gimped them all the way up to moving like an Atlas. And XLs do not need a nerf you already die if you loose a torso and loose slots. I just home they un-nerf them finally.

Maybe if we get a nice new Victor setup we could even have a new Victor. Might as well dream since so much stuff is happening lately. Maybe this one....
  • Victor Li The custom Victor used by Tai-sho Li Dok To in the Fourth Succession War, this variant removed all the standard weapons and replaced them with a single LRM-15 and ten Medium Lasers. Armor and movement profiles remained unchanged, but it carried a total of nineteen heat sinks. BV (2.0) = 1,625[18]

XL Victors were using 360 and up. After the nerf, they still twist at 108o/s with a 360 engine. That's on par with my BLR with a 340 and better than my DDC with a 350. The only two assaults I have that out twist it are the 9M and Warhawk.

They just pigeonholed the Victors into using XLs to be viable, and XL Victors do not brawl well. The nerf really only killed the standard engine Victors.

The Highlanders are still gimped too, even worse than the Victors.

So on par with a mech that weighs more with a smaller engine and only a tiny bit better than a mech 20 tons heavier with a smaller engine. Hmm ya thats fine. No the Victor was over nerfed.

By the way so was the Highlander.

Because people where whinging about large XL Victors being too maneuverable PGI nerfed it into the dirt, not taking the plethora of standard engine Victors.

They sought to bring the XL Victors into line with the rest of the assaults, not realizing they made the standard engine ones extinct.

Do it now. My UAC5 + AC5 + 2 LL Dragon Slayer is nearing 3:1 WLR. I am scared of what the guy can do after the mobility nerfs are reverted.

I certainly hope they are going to rework the JJ a bit more. I dont want jumping Victors over the place again.

Both of them could really use a buff now. Since they are about to revise the quirks on the IS I think this is a good place to start.

I didnt say why they did it (cough jump sniping) I just said they OVER did the nerf. Fixing he nerf would also make the kind of Victor you like with a smallish standard engine work for you again. While letting those of us that like a big engined fast 80 ton mech have something fun again.

You should not be seeing jumping Victors or anything else much with the way they work now.

Not a bad investment since it was the main mech I played for a long time and I have a few thousand games in it. Much better than going to a single football game etc.
