What If..no Masc Mechs?

okay i understand that a number of mechs cant be brought in due to MASC issue. so why cant we have those mechs without MASC?? i understand in terms of lore and the BT universe these mechs have MASC..but please we have to understand this reality as well that the current map size and i think the engine does not allow MASC to be implemented so why cant we have the likes of Flea or shadow cat without a MASC??

thoughts?

My first thought is that many of those mechs are balanced around having MASC, without it some would likely need significant changes to be competitive

PGI is releasing Myst Linx and Hellbringer without AA pods so I see no reason why they cannot release MASC mechs without MASC--or having MASC as place holder until they figure out what to do with it.

Name them. Firemoth doesn't need MASC to be competitive, same with Shadow Cat and Executioner. Flea sucks with of without MASC. In fact, Clan MASC mechs without MASC might make them better if the weight/crit is moved towards weapons or DHS, since Clan mechs generally desire more pod space.

well clan mechs are not really omni mechs are they?? fixed engines...so i am sure its not difficult to adjust mechs without MASC...i mean just give them the biggest engine as afaik MASC only give speed boost no armor or weapons or anything... so i dont see any problem...

We don't need more Mechs. We need MAPS AND GAME MODES AND COMMUNITY WARFARE.

thing is that PGI is quick t making mechs thats why i suggested it...

[color=#000000]now i dont see any weapon or armor advantage due to it..so i guess it will be fine to have these mechs without MASC (yes i know its not lore but plese see the other side, we are not getting these mechs due to MASC)[/color]

exactly my thoughts when they said they won´t bring the Shadow Cat because of MASC... i´m a big fan of that mech, mostly for it´s design :) screw MASC, the mechs are quick enough without it...

^^ true..just look at the clan wave 2 Ice ferret..its speed i 129.6 thats quick enough..

shadowcat has like 130 Km WITH MASC...why dont just give a small boost in speed to shadowcat instead and dont bring in MASC?

Just give us masc.

Skip any of mechs that would break the speed limit. That way we get quite a few good mechs and possibly an interesting new mechanic.

true or just remove masc..same thing imo...as it will not create breaking issues
