The crux of the matter is- PGI finally created rewards based on what the community wanted, and now some poeple are angry since they don't meet up with the requirements and want their shinies noaw.
So, they decided to bring in the King Crab and Vulture, two highly desired 'Mechs that obviously mean a lot. Obviously they wanted to provide a meaningful gift to those that have supported them with large purchases, and of course founders. What better way to create a gift than giving highly desired 'mechs out?
Now in the case of the King Crab, it's my understanding that those that get the reward get the 'Mech at the same time in goes for MC. I don't get people's complaints there. If you didn't buy any top packs, that's your problem. You don't qualify.
The Vulture is coming out earlier, so I understand why people don't want to buy the two highest packs. But again, it's a reward- as soon as you give it out in other methods, then the meaning of the reward is lost somewhat.
The Atlas and Centurion are pretty much going to everyone, but people seem to forget this.
The point of a reward is that it's a reward, not just a new 'mech to give out to everyone. Not just yet, anyway. PGI had previously ignored the founders and high pack purchasers a lot, and now they're finally noticing them. Fact is, they spent the high amounts of money, they're the ones getting rewarded at the moment.
