I see lots of threads about phoenix mech packs and found packs coming back, and personally I doesn't bother me at all if they want to resell those to people that want them.
I also understand those people wanting to keep those mechs exclusive. Which is fine.
People are howling for their King Krab. Hell the only that I think would be more popular would be the Urbanmech.
So my question is: Why not offer a clan buster pack?
The special King Crab doesn't come out until Dec. So provided PGI can put together a list of 4 Clan buster mechs (not including the King crab) by December and float another package that people could purchase to get their Special King Krab, I don't see the issue.
That would roughly give them three-five months or so to work on the 4 mechs for the pack.
P.s.
Could even have a list of options that people could vote on, like 2-3 mechs per weight class that people can vote on. Most popular gets chosen and makes it into the clan buster pack.
Food for thought.

Too many packages too soon overlapping.
I think they might want to let peoples wallets recover a little before having ANOTHER pre order package.

Question is - should it be independent from the term "Clan Buster?"
Strictly spoken - Clan Buster will be inferior Mechs in MWO - IS Heavys using XL Technology. Should it really be ComStar Mechs?
The main problem beyond the 3050 time line - is the number of variants.
Take for example 2 good Mechs - Shootist or Thug - both are real though "clan" busters but don't have enough variants.

I am giggling with the thought of how PGI is gonna implement the Hollander, with his overly large *****.

Well look the big "Issue" i see if Inner sphere guys wanting the (special) King Crab and they are willing to go back and buy the Phoenix or Overlord packages to get it, because they don't want the clan tech.
That's the issue, so why not bypass it and offer something worth their money.
I.E - An Inner sphere pack.
You don't actually have to order it now, so long as it's offered before the King Crab is released. Then those people can buy the package.
It doesn't have to be 4 mechs for 120, it can even just be 2 mechs for 60 deal like the saber pack, just so long as it's a package that lets them qualify.
They get their cake and get to eat it too!
