Frankly there were many who didn't/don't feel like we need to be "spoken for" by anyone

In fact we were/are enjoying MWO just fine

I was around and found the whole savemwo thing to be obnoxious. It felt very self entitled.

Bot only that I found the name to be off putting. MWO didn't need to be saved. Here we are one year later and it's still kicking and doing well by most accounts.

I find the new interest in MWO by PGI is due to the catastrophic failures they have had over last few weeks, the Reddit thing and the realization that they dont have any support (looking at Transverse) outside the fan club they have in MWO and even here they realize that a big portion of this support is support for the MW IP and not PGI.
Now realizing that they are not going to get support for any venture outside MW for the foreseeable future and that its only the MW fan base thats keeping it viable the focus of course is to try win back said fan base.
That might be a good thing for MW as it seems the only way PGI may have a future is to make this game work.

As the sole rep for any House Kurita unit at the first town hall, I was encouraged by the members' ideas and love of the IP. The 9th Sword did sign the petition, and attended a few of the other town halls, but we felt that many of the complains/solutions were more geared to short term goals and balancing- which were not the overarching issues we had with the game. Still, the amount of discussion raised by the movement did a great bit of good.

I don't think anyone can claim that they started the #savemwo movement, and that is not how I took Stalkerr's OP, but the WoL were the organizers and hosters.

Anyway, it was good to look back at the movement and compare the Devs lack of communication with the last six months where they seem to, mostly, get that their playerbase likes to be informed.
