Strange coming from someone with a CGB Badge. Perhaps lonewolf would be in order?

With the added bonus of a KGC (and the hero Atlas-S?) I would buy a new $80 IS pack if the mechs were overall around the same quality as Phoenix, gameplay wise. They don't all have to be Shadowhawks, but I'd be unhappy if they were all Locusts.

lol - I can take another stab at HG but probably not :(

Out of curiosity, what are the possibilities of getting redesigns of the unseen that aren't close enough to HGs designs to trigger a suit?

The problem with that is it would probably defeat a lot of the purpose of releasing the Unseen in the first place. A lot of the reason why people want them is nostalgic love for the way they originally looked. Many of the reseen redesigns are reviled for the way they often don't look like the original mech at all. In other words, those of us who want the Macross Unseen want them done in a way which is recognizable as the original mechs (even if they will naturally be MWOified by the magic of Alex Iglesias), so while a good redesign which looks like a modernized original Marauder would be a license to print money for PGI, a redesign based on the reseen one would probably be more like a license to get more hate and whines than PGI already does. Not really a good incentive for them to go that way, is it?

I think a Crab and king Crab pack with a few months perm time and a bunch of mech bays could be done for around 80.

If that is out of the question could maybe add a IS mech pack that will come next year but if you buy now you get the King crab ?

Then you could go with a Hero pack sale that allows you to pick say 4-5 Hero mechs as a pack so that people who own some of them do not buy them twice to get the King crab.

Bring the old Project Phoenix back but double the price, so those getting it are not just trying to get a freebie they dont deserve.

sorry if the thread came to me too late and I didn't read whole story. BUT when talking about 80$ level for IS let me remember 180$ Ala-Carte - max buyout if you won't some stuff you don't play. I am not Overlord or even Founder and I feel little pissed off of company by current logic.

my opinion on giving gifts - mech's should be available for staying loyal to MWO not for packs. If you've reached one year between transactions (any) you has am option to choose what to purchase for MC. It could be adjusted with some delay as special offer (ie for 2 months). Could include or not include IS or CL tech - up to abilities to develop. A gift is for free or as an option, not a free option if you buy another stuff.

True, but that's the power of nostalgia for you. The original designs are what would sell those mechs to most of the people interested in them, so the incentive for PGI to release them in any other form is probably minimal at best. Look at the Phoenix mechs. They are, for the most part, quite recognizable as the original designs (particulary the 3 55 tonners).

first you should finish your job with CW, then you can dream, think or talk about new packages, while the latest was released 2 days ago. if you´d do a great CW, you w´d never have to worry about your turnover with packages...

and bring mwo to steam to widen the playerbase. it takes sometimes 5min or longer to find a game...

Hey Russ, do the crowdfunding company to raise funds for a package with the Unseen / Reseen mechs. You can collect the right amount of money to pay for GH legally able to sell your designs. And to no longer meet with their lawyers and in court.

We are - I believe it is Dec 16th for MC and Jan 20th for C-Bills but there are those that would want the Custom version with the C-Bill bonus etc.

And depending on the Paint... Well I had to crack open my wallet for the Hellslinger, I hope the paint on the King doesn't make me want to eat my hat!

Reward, not gift. For those who purchased the high level packs. Not necessarily those that spent large amounts of money overall.

Russ stated this wouldn't affect the CW/map development. And this was in response to King Crab reward, not just to make more money. I get the sense they're not very keen to work on two 'Mech packs at the same time.

Also I hate Steam. I'm glad they've avoided it. :P

Thank you Russ, for being reasonable-it gives me much confidence! I'm loving the new level of responsiveness to the community! +1
As I said before, you could do a pack with variants that have not been released yet....like the HBK 4N etc. I did suggest a few times tying them in with the Sarah's Jenner-I'd LOVE to own that mech and I'd also love it if some of the proceeds could go to that same charity.
I'm sure there is a light, a medium, a heavy and an assault variant that have not been done yet that you could offer up in SJ style paint schemes, say donate half of each pack's proceeds to that charity...?
That way you would not have to come up with any new art assets, Is guys could get what they want, the other people (cough) could keep their "special" status, a charity would get some money and you'd get a huge wave of positive PR. I can't see a loss in this situation!
Can you?

Pull off something like that and my $80 I'd practically throw at you:)

Here you go.

There are plenty of unreleased variants.
I would preffer to see new chassis, but that's a good solution too, as long as there are at least 12 new variants released (and some with hero bonuses). Oh boy, these would be terrific:

Victor VTR-9A, Victor VTR-9A1
Dragon DRG-1G
Firestarter F59-S1
Banshee BNC-3MC

Okay... that is a lot of pages to read. My two cents (if this thread isn't hitting zombie status)...

This is the perfect time for the 'Founders:Reborn' package. It is to celebrate the... recent events... that have sparked the rebirth of MWO for a lot of people. The theme is both old champions and new champions here to stop the clan invasion.

Now old just means designs that have not been released in game, but were significant in slowing down the advance. Maybe frontline mechs that took the brunt of the attack. Zeus? Grand Dragon?...

The new champions are maybe prototype mechs (that later become stock mechs when the time line catches up etc) with current timeline weapons.

Anyways, this isn't about catching up necessarily, this is about MWO Founders: Reborn!
