Honestly, I would snap up an IS pack in a heartbeat. The Clan mechs are neat for a while, but I'm starting to get bored with them. I might buy the Man-O'-War pack, just so I can have an assault that does 89kph with Speed Tweak, but I can wait for the Mad Dog for C-bills. Not even really interested in the King Crab, since I'm not an Assault Pilot. I'm already scratching my head wondering wtf I'm going to do with my new Hero Atlas.

Since the Elite package was $80, you can at the least include that package as being included to receive the King Crab. Otherwise it's unfair for us Elite founders because Pheonix payers are receiving the King Crab for paying the same amount.

And people who spent $240 on the Masakari, or $120 on the Man O' War get it too.

Players who just bought the top Phoenix pack qualify for it for less than the rest of us.
Oh well.

They chose the criteria of 'top tier package' for 'free King Crab'.
I mean, sure, they could equalise it and say 'anyone who's spent $80+' gets it?
But otherwise, complaining that X gets something because they meet the criteria that's been set seems... well, that's the whole thread isn't it.

Makeing old packages avaibale is no the right way. You might want to think about giving people the ability to make certain mechs of their choice "hero".

No, the Elite package was $60.

It received $80 worth of MC, IIRC, which may be where your confusion stems from.

To be fair, ALL founders get the Atlas while only the TOP pack buyers (F/P/I-1/I-2) get the King Crab.
It's good to have them for all and for max-packs.

It would be a shame if there would be no bonus for max-packs and both were "just" for all packs or packs for 60+ $.
In that case I would expect 3 choices: All packs, Medium (60+$) and max.
But we only got All and Max, so it's perfect how it is.

You know I'm not going to get the special edition Atlas because I haven't pre ordered anything. I'm disappointed, but that's life. There'll be a Hero king crab at some point so you can get your %30 CBill fix then. I've got the Boars Head on my atlas for that.

I would love to see a four(4) mech package where you get a "prime" and 2 variants similar to others.

I would love to see a new mech with ECM, and I also like Energy/Ballistic builds.

Priority:

• ECM
  
• Energy/Ballistic

Put all that on a light and I have a new favorite light...
But another chasis (med/heavy) with ECM would be very nice too.

Russ, why not offer it for the top MC package as an option?

You let IS folks have a chance to spend money for the King Crab, even Clanners who don't want the Wave 2 pack can get the MC pack, and you don't have to divert resources to more new mech packs that won't come out for months? I think many players miss general release new mechs (the Vindicator being the only new mech released in the past few months that wasn't in a package already)

why in the world would they do that? There would be nothing in here where I would spend that much in MC.

Why are they worried about offering an IS pack for folks to get the King Crab?:

Because customers want it, and that's one way for customers to get it without getting a clan pack.

It's an idea, and it's certainly better than any pack re-releases.

Yeah but I'm 99% certain that most of the customers don't want all that MC. What would you buy? At this point if there was something you wanted you've probably already bought it.

The upcoming King Crab Hero (IE, the unique variant, not the one that will have a CBill Bonus and normal version), any new upcoming heroes, a ton of mechbays, colors, premium time, Heroes you didn't get earlier, cockpit items. It's MC, even if there isn't something you want now, there's bound to be something eventually.

Not saying it's a perfect solution, but I think it should be on the table as an option.
