King Crab - Bringing Back Phoenix Or Founders

seriously those of you that are sick of all the clan mechs, you have no idea what clanners have been putting up with all this time to finally get clan mechs.
Now as per the topic, would i buy an $80 pack of IS mechs, IT would really depend on the chassis. I avoided the Phoneix mecgs as i knew the locust was gonna be terrible and until recently with this rewind state having issues with faster moving mechs, no one uses them.
An at the time of there release the speed cap was still 150 so why would i picked a locust over my founder's Jenner?
The IS is getting rather jam packed with mechs, unless the new IS mechs where something worth getting i'd say no and just buy the new clan pack.

Go big, though. Marauder. Rifleman. Archer. Phoenix Hawk.
Go from the descriptions in the books and you will be okay. After all we've been through, I would give you $80 right now, no problem.

While we already have two Comstar mechs in game and third close at hand, there are a few that could be used for a 4 mech Comstar Pack. The Mongoose (only light with three variants with out masc), Meds: Crab, Wyvern, and Sentinel, Heavies have several: Black Knight, Guillotine, Exterminator, Lancelot, and Champion (which is stupid looking). Assaults only have two options, the Thug, and Crockett. The Thug is pretty much a Hatamoto Chi, so PGI will have to give it different quirks. The Crockett.... Looks like ****.
Reinforcement clan package.
Just to be clear, the wave 2 is not a reinforcement package. This package comes in when PGI introduces the reserve clans. Those clans are Steel Viper, Nova Cat, and Diamond Shark. These clans were assigned to back up Jade Falcon, Smoke Jaguar, and Ghost bear respectively. Diamond Shark was not ready to deploy and missed out most of the invasion. Ghost Bear didnt need them any way.
Clan Second Line, or Garrison package.
This clan pack could introduce the IIC redesigns of IS mechs. Such as the HBK, Griffin, Shadowhawk, and Jenner. However this will most likely not happen. Most of these mechs only have one variant that is with in the time line as of now. PGI would have to start putting in tech 30-50 years into the future.
Successor State pack(s)
PGI could put a collection of one mech from each house and sell them as a package. However seeing as several mechs that would make this work are already in the game. The Raven for example is an iconic Liao mech, while the Catapult is one of its work horse heavies.
Periphery State packs.
There are several Periphery states, one of which is a pirate strong hold. If and when PGI introduces those states as usable factions they could create a mech pack out of the few mechs they introduced, or at least variants of existing mechs.
Inner Sphere fight back (ok hopefully with a better name)
A pack that puts in mechs like the Penetrator, and Bushwacker. These mech were created in response to the clan invasion.
Inner Sphere Omni pack
When PGI wants to introduce IS omni mechs. The Owens, Rakshasa (is version of the Twolf), and Avatar (Is version of the Mad Dog).
Some of these packs might not introduce new mechs. They could add in a large group of champion mechs with unique skins. Skins that reflect Successor State pride, or a new batch of hero mechs. They could also just add in new variants of existing mechs.

Light Mech: Wolf Hound (Kell Hounds)
Medium Mech: Assassin / Dervish (Gray Death Legion)
Heavy Mech: pick one lancelot/black knight/ champion (snord's Irregulars)
Assault Mech: Annhilator (Wolf's Dragoons)
I love this idea though how quickly could PGI do this?

I bought Phoenix and Phoenix reinforcements and even though I am now aligned with the wolfs I still feel the Clan mechs (Timber specifically) are unbalanced and OP and believe it or not I have no desire to pilot something that flicks the 'easy mode' switch on, my KD will just have to live with that.
But, I would buy another IS mech pack (though I would expect and additional perk for those of us who, as previously stated already bought into the Phoenix parts 1&2 ... an IS version of the clan MD reward).
It would also be an ideal opportunity for the IS to get the Heavy Gauss and even the playing field a little.

I want to hear your thoughts now on this, because it takes significant resources to develop one of these packages and we would need to have some idea on what the support level would be, how many would be interested?
Thank you VERY much for your consideration on this! If I was playing when Phoenix was out I definitely would have got the Overlord.
That being said I'd be very happy to see a package with IS mechs out of MW2 Mercenaries. It had a great selection to choose from.
Personally I'd be happy if the package were drawn from these choices:
Assault: Cyclops, Zeus, Mauler, Hatamoto-Chi
Heavy: [edit]
Medium: Clint, Assassin, Sentinel,
Light: Mongoose, Hornet, Urbanmech (you knew that was coming I'll bet )
Anyhow, this I would gladly buy!
Thanks & I sure hope to see this package for sale soon!
Long live the Dragon!

I'm right with you until the middle paragraph. Previous pack buyers shouldn't get any more honestly.Part of why this whole issue kicked off i the first place, was PP buyers feeling entitled or feeling they "did" something special and should be seen as different/better than the next guy.
"I got mine so screw you" basically was the impression...
All they did was spend some money when others either didn't have it, or couldn't buy it because they weren't even playing then:P
All that is needed is a separate IS pack to give those who either couldn't afford, or simply were not here at the time to have a chance at the crab via an IS mech route.
PGI, please don't give people any more chances to be "special snowflakes" you've seen what it does to the community!
In my opinion how you have handled the clan releases has been much better. The "special snowflakes" still have their pre order special stuff, but anyone who couldn't afford it at the time can still buy in-even as wave 2 is released. If people want to feel smug they can, and everyone else can still get the mechs at their own pace...win-win I'd say?

I don't think so. I think most people were more upset about the PGI Backlash over language that basically said the package would no longer be available once it was pulled, and that doesn't set a good precedent, particularly when most of the bonus preorder stuff still was sold with the pack after it was released.
But yes, there's also a lot of people who are basically upset that they didn't qualify for something that's a reward for spending money because they didn't spend money but they want it. It will be released for free, and there will be a hero King Crab, so if you want a CBill bonus version, it will be there for you.
