ok quote doesn't work. But look at the clan wave 2 FAQ.

instead of the last payed packages where everything was released in a large batch, Clan Wave 2 mechs are being released in 2 week-ish increments. Starting Nov 4 and ending Dec 16.

I just really want my Hellbringer.

Uhhmm...maybe the Clan Wave 2 mechs aren't all at the same state of readiness and so, rather than delay delivery of the entire package until all mechs are done, they're releasing them as they're ready?

Only thing I can think of.

This
That's what I had been assuming as well
I mean, it makes sense.

Pretty much this. The actual ingame models probably aren't done yet.

Yet they will be done in order of tonnage?

They are done in the order they choose to finish them in. They could have the assault ready first if they wanted to.

Or its possible they are doing it to keep up the production of new mechs without slowing down development of Community Warfare and such

They are working on new maps and CW. Delivering the mechs when they are ready makes more sense than delaying maps & CW.

Didn't they do this with the Phoenix mechs as well? I can't remember...

I figured it was because of all the complaints about the wait time for Wave 1 Mechs to be released for MC/CB

Could also be so that players will actually play all of them while waiting for the next one. Otherwise there will be some ignored mechs just like with previous packages.

For most of MWO's existence, mechs have been delivered one at a time. We have seen that a hard deadline for multiple mechs at the same street date has resulted in significant derailing of progress in other areas. Of course, Clan Pack 2 is 5 total chassis and not 8 like Clan pack 1, but it is still a lot of mechs, plus they have to paint a bunch of sexy bonus Clan camo, plus the King Crab.

Probably better overall for the game to only have one or two mechs in the pipeline at a time.

I'll be saving C-bills for the Hellbringer's release date.

Where are you all seeing that it will be released in tiers? All I saw on the wave 2 details page was content released on Dec. 16... If I am getting mechs even earlier than this I will be a VERY happy Clan warrior!

Its in the wave 2 Faq, but ill type it here.
This is for people that bought them with cash, not people that are going to get them with MC or credits.

Vulture Sept 23 = must have Masakari and Gargoyle packages.

Ice Ferret Nov 4

Mist Lynx Nov 18

Hellbringer Dec 2

Gargoyle Dec 16

King Crab Dec 16 = must of purchased top tier package (unknown abut expantion top tier)

King Crab is (mostly) an IS mech and should not be bundled with bottled filth! :P

Easy answer to this one. Last time this was done, it created server problems and people were forced to play on the test serves for most of the day till stability was restored. So many Clan mechs were populated in the servers in a short period of time, it wrecked the servers.
Cheers.

Funny you should say that. All the 000b and 010 models left with Kerensky.

You spread out the release to give the players a steady trickle of new toys so you can also not have to stress about new mechs since the player base gets a steady stream of shinies.....

......oh wait......nevermind. :P
