Atleast give us an option to remove them from our list, or at the very least an option to drag them at the bottom of the mechlab under our personal builds

I don't see why this thread was archived and disregarded:

Yeh, its annoying to scroll through the chaff of trial mechs, ui 2.0 is piss poor compared to the old system.
Atleast in that you could de-select trial mechs.

I have to agree. Trial mechs shouldn't show up in the "owned" tab though I think they are there to make it easier for newbs to find them. Still they should just give trials their own tab and make it default there for new players, not force them on those of use that already have a couple dozen mechs we have to sort through without adding a dozen more trials.

Wrote to Russ about this:
Please for the love of god make it so we have an option to not show trial mechs in our "owned mechs" mechlab...mechs are a collection some of us are proud of and if in real life you had a collection of expensive cars you wouldn't want the local taxi drivers to also park their cars in your garage and have to always look at them when you want to inspect your collection...

This is the response i got:
It is a common request that we just have to make time for, but it’s hard since they are so head down on features like CW

Nice feedback from Russ himself, hopefully this request gets noticed since it's common so we can finally get to clearly see our nice collection we worked hard for!

If after all this time and constant requests of the same exact thing..... Do you actually believe they will get off thier tuckus and do it? This matter should be more closer to the top of thier list since it also seems to bear the same resemblance to "forced advertising" IMO

It is annoying, but i wouldn't say a high priority.

Granted it's a small benefit, but the effort required must be teensy. The Mechbay already has the ability to filter and already displays which can be bought and which configured. This fix must be the easiest "pat on the back" waiting for PGI and more likely to sweeten the wait for CW rather than drag out the delivery date.

Also, it bugs me quite a bit as I run a few of the same variants as the trial mechs and so accidentally launch games in someone else's suit.

I hope they just remove the trial mech system and come up with something more imaginative. For example, sponsored no-frills stock mechs from your selected faction, queued only against others in sponsored mechs. Earn reduced cbills/xp after "cadet" status, and stats aren't affected. Consider it low-resource garrison duty.

I agree though, the confusion that comes from accidentally clicking one of those when brain dead from a long session of MWO is a little frustrating.

I am completely on board with this, I have more trial mechs showing than what I own and it is annoying, give them a TAB!
