Yep, it doesn't show it like the system does 'mech bonus' or first 'win of the day'. I believe everything you get XP for has had their valued doubled already, as you accrue them. Have you noticed that kills, savior kills, etc are giving more than before? I honestly haven't paid attention, I just can tell by the total that I'm getting twice as usual. i'm about to check that out.
EDIT: Yup, values are indeed doubled. Wins are 600xp right now.

I'll never understand this.
I'll preface this by saying "It takes all types" , so what I do isn't the universal way..
But I thoroughly enjoy leveling my new mechs with mech XP not GXP.
I think it makes you a better pilot leaning with a weak mech and getting progressively stronger...
Just my opinion.
Doesnt work for me.
When I buy a racing wing for kite surfing, I want the best I can get, not a cheaper one.
I go MTB riding, I go for a decent bike with decent to top spec components and not one I have to add parts to later to get it to be any good.
I want a PC to game on, I get one built to the top specs I can afford and justify, not to a halfassed level that then has to be upgraded to be what I wanted.
I did the same to level up my crews and planes in Warthunder and am an exceptional pilot as a result of not having to endure blackouts and crap guns.
I also fly real world sailplanes and would not be happy flying an old junker when the clubs brand new Discus CS is there to be used.
So levelling up a mech as fast as possible so I can gain decent cooling for my prefered lasers, decent movement and a second mod is, for me, far more enjoyable than grinding to those rewards.
Besides, I dont enjoy playing PC games endlessly, I have a life as well so the sooner I get to an enjoyable level, the better.

I've pointed out this issue more than one time. Why on hell are we not allowed to see XP on mechs we don't own anymore?

Everything about this Event is about making money.
I don't think you have to pay to get 2x XP and the cupcake. The word everything in your post is a bit too all-encompassing, don't you think?

Not a huge fan of it, I think I will stick with my Holo-Kerensky, but free is always good.
