See, that's what's puzzling me. CT weapons show up as removable, or changeable, while first wave mechs have CT weapons fixed. Is it an error on the page or are they actually making them interchangeable?

I think that depends on the TT stats. So far only the Adder had the fixed flamer, because the TRO says so. But I could be wrong and I'm too lazy to search through the TROs. Same with all the fixed equipment, I think.

As I see nobody with the concept art of the King Crab from the awesome behind-the-scenes from Alex Iglesias (Flying Debris) in here, I hope it's ok to post it here:

That song that came on at 8 minutes in should be in the game, as battle music! Why have a talented music maker and no battle music?

Also, sneak peek of the KGC scale at 9:20?

What do people think of that height?

Lastly, if that's the custom skin for the reward Crab, I'll totally be fine with that.

Alex strikes again. Looks amazing. I never stop being impressed with his ability to keep the spirit of the mech designs while removing the dated 80s goofiness.

I've been thinking about commenting on the sound design/engineering of MWO for a while now, and what better time than now: [b]Sound design of this Game is Awesome, from engine, weapon and warhorn sounds to music, this leaves nothing to be desired[\b]

Ofc the design of the King Crab is top notch as well!

Further there is nothing wrong with the arms of the Mad Dog. Looks great!

Part of what makes omnimechs "better" is that they are more easily modified than standard battlemechs

IE: to swap the AC20 on an Atlas for, say, a Gauss Rifle would take weeks to months for a battlemech
Due to the more modular nature of the Omnimech it can be done in days, if not hours.

The trade off is that certain parts cannot be changed, such as Armor or Internal Structure type, or Engine size
That has nothing to do with where the parts are, but how they are built in.

IE: the Flamer on the Adder, or the JJ on the Summoner.

Or the Active Probe and 6 JJ on the Mist Lynx.
Looks like that is all that is hardwired other than required heatsinks though

Very interesting. Great vlog. Most interesting were the barrels on the Mad Dog image (before the King Crab), which appear longer in a compromised sort of way. Other than the stubby arms the Vulture does look great.

That was amazing to watch the artist draw that picture from nothing!

I noticed the 6x C-Streak4s and 4xMd pulse laser MadDog is doable from that vid too!

1. It would be better, if you ask a sound designer in.... you know, in voice...

2. The commercial part is too much/strong for me...

3. Mad Dog is MAD.... but, in orange?... I don't know.. in red or black... would be better..

4. Crab, I really-really-really-never-ever would understand the artists... I saw it, but I don't belive it... never.. how could he do that ???... from a black/grey blob - a hightech-super-brutal-robocop-robot... I have no words for it... never..

It's remember me some sci-fi/action cartoons from the 90's.. I loved them style, for the first sight... this Crab would had fit in any of them... Why don't play some really big movie maker not MWO???...

A 100 t Mech, with speed tweak almost 60?.... Perfect... I really hope, the real game Mech will be similar, to that Art... I will happily jump for it to die, just to see in some action...

PS. That Froggy look is a NO... steel or black.. just something very brutal will fit to it!

am i the only person confused by the mad dog model's upper leg section looking strange? both in terms of scale and implementation, it looks like the normally top-heavy mad dog has been put onto cataphract/marauder's lower extremities..

i understand there may be some kind of technical reason for this, but it seems very odd in context of mad dog having relatively slim forelegs and a more pronounced reversed joint where the lower leg joins in..

I thought the KingCrab would be a hulking beast but hes really small, which makes sense when you think of how small the maps are. And being smaller is always better.

Is this the special camo too? because i would love that very much!

They used the Mad Cat legs for it, as by lore. Doesn't look strange to me.
