Also, I found the total absence of CW related stuff very disappointing. This is the "next big thing" for MWO, not the mechpacks. They could at least give a short status update about that. They should start hyping it already.

I share your concerns but it depends on how frequently they are tossing this videos out. I don't mind watching these featurette-like vlogs if they keep the pace of releasing 2-3 videos per month.

KGC looks amazing.... like every other artwork, hope they can properly translate it.
The top half of the maddog is pure class but again as i said about the madcat those legs are absolutely disgusting.

That Mad Dog looks really nice in-game. I hope the laser barrels in the arms are made longer for when the chassis goes live, though (Russ mentioned something about talking to the art director about it in another post).

That was really impressive artwork to behold the King Crab start off like a black ink painting and turn into a fully detailed mech. Very Cool.

I also gotta give a good word to Sean the sound designer. I have been quietly thinking to myself since I started playing how good everything sounds. Specifically all of the ambient sounds like how each mech has a slightly different hum. The various metallic, crinking, and cronking noises while moving around. One of the smaller details that I always appreciate are the weapon reloading/charging up sounds. It is really cool when you can sequence your weapon firing more intuitively from listening to them.

All in all one of my favorite Vlogs. The creativity is great to see and hear.

See, that's what's puzzling me. CT weapons show up as removable, or changeable, while first wave mechs have CT weapons fixed. Is it an error on the page or are they actually making them interchangeable?

Only the Adder had fixed CT weapons, the others were removable I believe.

Now if only they'd give us a sneaky peek at the Atlas S variant.

My guess? Is it will have 1E in each arm, 2E in the CT, 4M in the LT, and 1B in the RT. It may or may not have AMS or an extra B in the RT (probably not the extra B).

Otherwise, it will look like an atlas ;)

Excellent work as always from Alex. Not surprising though, since he managed to make even the Stalker look good. As much as I am hyped for the King Crab, I do feel a little sadness knowing that the chances of seeing my beloved Annihilator in game are now even slimmer.

What application did you make this consept in?

And I'd be really hapy if you made a video dedicated to making a consept, where you talk about how you think, withch tools you use and how you use them. A little tutorial if you like.

That would be worth all the money I've spent on this game so far, if it was a well done and detaled one.

:D

hmm, will it be a standard looking Atlas, or maybe there is some added or different geometry?

Sound design is great, and I'm happy they showed that... But I am 10 times more into the art!

Amazing stuff Alex, truly amazing! Could you please tell me what brush settings you used for that?

King Crab concept time lapse was actually way more amazing to watch than I expected it to be.

If it actually has claws that open...

The paint scheme displayed seems to be that of the merc unit known as "Greenburg's Godzillas".

"The Godzillas favor a dark green paint scheme, sometimes accented with lighter green scales and the classic 'shark teeth' nose art. Though considered by others to be unprofessional, corporate logos and advertising also appear on Godzillas `Mechs and fighters, the quantity and size of which is proportionate to the fame of the warrior."

Thank you for this preview.

Great to hear the effort and passion that goes towards the sounds. I have to say that a really like the small details like the turning sound of a mechs torso or the sounds on HPG... very cool. Keep it up.

As for the king crab... I really wasn't excited until i saw the drawing come alive. Very impressed that you can draw like that,, i have no skill and hence appreciate seeing how it is done.
