So, MWO posted Dev Vlog #8 on Youtube. It has an interview with one of their sound designers, and the first look at the King Crab for MWO!

There is a video of Alex Iglesias doing the concept art on his computer. KG concept is friggin sweet!

If they let us press 'E' to open the claws to expose the guns, like the Catapult does with its missile hatches, I'm going to need to change my pants.

That was awesome, my jaw was hanging open, can anyone familiar with this stuff explain like that first portions when its he gots the all black silhouette does that stuff have the details done? does he already have a image in his head?

How long do you think it took him?

Be consistent.
It's / to open the hatches.
Would love an arm protection bonus if the claws are closed.

The concept art process was fascinating. And the increase in transpairity from PGI as a whole is great. I don't really want all four of the new Clan wave 2, but I might buy them as encouragement to PGI to keep going in the right direction (and the King Crab of course).

Oh, right. I forgot / is the norm. I changed it to E on my computer so I don't have to reach over every time.

And yeah, I'm assuming there's an arm protection bonus, otherwise it's just a disability, which would be weird.

CRAB PEOPLE! That thing is pure sex if you ask me, can't wait till December for it. I'll spend just the first few matches opening and closing the hands, don't even know if I'll be able to shoot as I'll just be so happy to have those working pinchers if they pull it off.

Well, I hope it's not a huge weakness, but its big side profile should make up for its short height. Both for the legs and the torso.

Of course, that was also the best way to deal with it. Keep your distance...drop LRMs.

Honestly, I heard the same thing about the DIre Wolf and I've only ever died to LRM's once while running it and that one time was my fault for taking my time off of my drop point.

Hm, that's a very interesting point. I guess that'll be a considerable weakness, and it's not like they can modify the top armour to alleviate that. Furthermore, it may have the same problem as some of the Clan mechs with a shell, like the Adder. Namely, LRMs can damage rear armour from the top.
