Looks to me it goes to the bottom of the Atlas' chest XXX's

That can't be right.

The Nova comes up to the atkas's XXX and its just about as wide. If they go through that The king crab will be the same size as the Nova

You are a legendary founder so you should be all set for the Atlas and the King Crab.

Btw don't take the comparison to the Atlas as being how it will be sized in game. Not sure why Alex did that but the scaling will come from the modelers and they will do side by side comparisons of the art before they begin to model.

Yeah I was going to mention something along these line.

Concept art is just that, Concept. It is a rough guideline to follow, nothing more and nothing less so I am not sure why so many people are reading so much into the Concept art.

Going to have to look different for the 3d model or not have torso wist or not very much torso twist.

Do you honestly expect it to actually have alot of Torso Twist? Look at the Dire Wolf, it has almost no twist and that is an important features because that is one of the things that keeps the Dire Wolf balanced. Same thing is going to happen to the King Crab. It's nickname is going to be King Crawl or something because it isn't going to be agile.

Still I am looking forward to seeing this mech. 2 AC/20 and 1 PPC depending on factors like Endo Steel and XL engine viability and maybe even an LRM15 or something. That is going to be one scary mech.

should have at least as much as the Dire Wolf, The concept cannot. I expect it to end up with a more vertical turret, and the arms farther out.

If we can get one loaded with enough ballistics... 2 AC10s and 2 AC20s will be one of my preferreds...

Oh, what a beautiful baby. Those AC20's and possible squatiness should make it a fun brawler. Gauss in either arm would be fun too. This just convinced me to finally pre-order clan wave 2. My first pre-order... The new Atlas and King Crab... I'm so excited! Thanks for the preview guys!

Now just get CW and more maps out! ;)

thanks for the clarification. Its good to see the effort being put into scaling these mechs.

The vindicator came out very well scaled.

Jin Ma, where did you get the pic of the Marauder? Was it in the VLog or any of Alex' art on Deviant Art?

I love it. Sad to say that I won't be getting one through the programs mentioned in the anniversary celebration. I was informed that it and the Atlas won't be in my `MechBay upon release.Even though I bought all the packages prior to the 1 year Anniversary. At least, I'll get the Mad Dog. I hope! Oh, well, there's always MC and C-bills. :)

Founders Packs were not considered Pre-Sale?

I think there was a short time after their release that they were still for sale. I might be remembering wrong though as I'm getting old.

If you have a Legendary pack, you will get the King Crab.
And all founders will get the Atlas-S.

FAQ here says this:
http://mwomercs.com/...nniversary-faq/

What are the eligibility requirements for each reward item?
  • Cupcake Item: Win 1 Match in the solo or group queue during the Anniversary weekend.
  • 2,000,000 C-Bills: Have played 100 matches since September 17th 2013.
  • Free Mechbay: Have played 100 matches since September 17th 2013.
  • Clapping Surat Item: Have played 100 matches between September 17th 2013.
  • Centurion CN9-AH: Have purchased MC or a Founders Collection.
  • Atlas AS7-S: Have purchased a Founders, Phoenix, or Clan Collection.
  • King Crab: Have purchased a Legendary, Overlord, Masakari, or Man 'o War Collection
  • Mad Dog/Vulture: Have purchased a Masakari AND Man 'o War Collection.

If i'm not mistaken in the original Anniversary annoucement said eligible players had to own a pre-order package.

That may lead to wrong assumptions about who are eligible or not for the reward. If all you need is own the pack then things are way more clear then.

Aye,
all these packs are preorder packs, because you preorder them before the mechs are released for CBills.
  • Atlas AS7-S: Have purchased a Founders, Phoenix, or Clan Collection.
  • King Crab: Have purchased a Legendary, Overlord, Masakari, or Man 'o War Collection
All Founder, Phoenix and Clan packs are preorders.
Legendary, Overloard, Masakari and Manowar are "top-tier" packs.
Saber pack was just an add-on and you only could get it with a Phoenix pack, so that one doesnt matter :)

It does look like a perfect MWO interpretation of the Marauder, and quite different from the HG 'original'... <3

This one looks better, shorter legs and no torso twist problems.

I like it, might be a little tall, but over all I'm in love with it.

Did you see it compaired to the Atlas? It wasn't up to that mech's shoulders.

I think so too.. that one might actually be able to torso twist w/o clipping. Plust the legs look tons better, and it can probably walk without looking funky like the stalker

I'm worried about the scaling in game. Look at the Quickdraw, T-Bolt, Kintaro, and now most recently the Mad Dog (where it looks like the T-Wolfs legs were cut off and added to Mad Dog's upper chassis) can make or break chassis.
