Theres always that one guy with a single LRM15 and a medium laser in a heavy mech thats shooting LRMs into a building all match and he gets mad when you tell him that his mech sucks ass.

I get most annoyed when someone parks right behind you and blocks you when you try to back up to get out of enemy fire.

Just a couple of days ago on Canyon Network i tried to back up and was blocked. I spun my mech around while trying to spread the damage, and see which idiot was standing there....to find I'd backed up into a big rock

Whats improper, and I believe against the game rules are reporting anyone who isn't zero ping or disconnected.
Had you carried harder, that loser wouldn't be sitting alone in the corner in the first place!

That's a terrible excuse... blaming their cowardice on others performance.

Blueduck you should never report a players co-ordinates. If i see you do it in game I will report you.

I would be pissed if someone gave away my position but I wouldn't give them a reason and just hide like a little ***** just to not die. I know it is possible to a report player for it, but I'm not sure if lots of people know this or not totally avoiding combat in a way to delay the game for no further purpose then to just not die is also a reportable situation. (And this is not to be confused with a conquest that the last guy can win by points if he hides) So could someone doing something that is reportable actually report someone else. NO absolutely not. If some one is clearly doing this witch is reportable and a player does give that player away and they both r doing a reportable action it should be a wash really what are we 8 people come on. In all honesty I would never report anyone anyway unless one condition. That player tk ed me 3 times in a row. I figure once mayb he thought I shot him on purpose. (Possible) twice could be a coincidence. Three times no way that dude has it out for me for sure.

Don't yell at people. What good does it ever do? The only time I really laid into someone was when they took command of the team and gave a suicidal order that lost the match within a few minutes. Told him not to give any orders ever again. Probably could been a bit nicer about it. People who bother to take command in PUG matches are rare and precious people. :)

Most annoying thing to me are heavies and assaults leaving the firing line to "team up" with a light or two to chase enemy lights, . Suddenly youre down a good deal of firepower, it wandered off to kill a Spider. Seriously, thats bad. If our own llights are already keeping them off, dont abandon your heavies at the front to "assist" them.
Or chasing sticks with no weapons left. Bad too, especially when its 3-4 people running after him for the free kill.

Close second are people that setup a push and once stuff gets real - run away. I know one or the other name Ill never follow into a push again. This even happens on pushes that our team is guaranteed to win, but sometimes your teammates just leave after taking minor damage. Prime examples are pushes where Im in a DDC and with 4 or 5 other guys that tell me "go push in". When theres a manageable ammount of enemy forces that our group could win against, Ill usually do so. I dont run into deathtraps. Most damage rains down on the DDC, especially if theres no DW generating even more aggro.
Still theres AC fire or LRMs hitting other mechs, some panic over a bit of lost armor and run away. People see that one and follow. Now whats left is just the slow Atlas and maybe another assault getting blown up.
Usually its the ones calling for the push to run first. I really dont like those cowards. They get stomped by the combined enemy forces later on anyway.

so easy to criticise other when you don't have to look them in the face ....

I honestly dont think so. Wheres the problem telling someone not to totally derp up in RL?

The only time I rage is when I see someone on either team, blaming their entire team for the loss. Like, "noob team suck" or "why do i always get noob groups, wtf" and even at times, worse things than that. To me, the word noob is something my 11yr old nephew would say to people. And if you haven't realized it yet, YOU too were also on that team that failed. You weren't the sole person carrying the group. Half the time, its when they're the first to die, they will be like "omg noobs thanks for the support" because he blindly charged into the fray.

It's much easier to rage on others because they may not be as good as you instead of just saying "we tried, gj anyway" and/or giving people who are new pointers instead of saying "omgscrubnoob"

I clicked on this expecting an apology thread. Like one I feel like I need to make after taking a deep breath and a few minutes away from the game. I've had a lot of my frustrations find their way through my fingers and into the game chat this weekend that shouldn't have. Played too much with the grind in mind instead of just trying to have some fun.

Had that happen as a D-DC I pushed and 6 teammates just stood there, I killed two of the 6 enemies then promptly called my team a bunch of P@ssies. Only time I can recall ever saying anything negative in game.

It was a tournament weekend and I'd just ground out a dozen matches of watching people sandbag and killsteal and was in a mail bitter match. A hippie of the last of D's are in a canyon all but throwing their peg guts at each other. Our last man there is faxing down three near dead enemies alone and overheats and dies... At which point we pop to a guy in an undamaged adder who looks like he's just watching the action.

The whole team let's him have it. He could have swayed the battle dramatically and after such a hard fought battle lost by inches over an advantage of a couple DPs we cheer the enemy as they hunt him down. He kills a couple but died to the last guy.

I later find out we have friends in common and he had been hunting and killing other enemies all match. In fact we dropped together a bunch and he's a cool guy. So much so I ended up joining the same clan he's in and he is now he's my CO.

We met however with me ripping him a new one. I try to do that less now :-)

Otherwise I tend to just say "due props other team, you played aggressive and drove the win. We died like bads. Gg". Sometimes you can get frustrated when people are egregiously dense but otherwise it's best to just congratulate the winners and move on.

I feel your pain Mischief. I always to try to give the other team regardless of how we play. Maybe with the one acceptation being fighting an LRM team on caustic.

The only time I ever do that is when my team sits back and does nothing or actively backs up when they have the advantage and they simply don't want to scratch the paint on their pretty mech. I'm talking about the rounds where I do 800-900+ damage and am actually carrying the team in my assault or heavy mech (or Shadowhawk).

I need help out there and the amount of cowardice makes this game down right suck sometimes.

Yea, it's really frustrating... and sometimes I vent and let them know they should just stop playing til they find their spines.

I think I finally made it past the rage phase now. Or I was just too speechless at the summoner standing behind my summoner unloading LRM's into my back

Taken command a few times this weekend on Terra Therma, as was getting annoyed with map and same results (i.e. loss).

What I found funny with one player who did not listen and did his own thing, complaining about lack of support during the fight. When most of the team listened to what I had to say and we won.
Go figure.

I report a Friendly Mech ONLY if the Mech is last one standing and the Pilot is AFK. Yes, I text the player in question on the team channel to be sure BEFORE I out them.

I was on canyon with a heavy lrm team. Enemy pushed up into the theta spot and had heavy ECM support. I rushed up and placed a UAV lighting them up but a hidden sniper legged me and I got blown away. The UAV was a good one however lighting their whole team up and I kicked back to spectate the boats working the targets. The guy im spectating rushes forward, plants his own UAV next to mine, then proceeds to shoot mine down so he can get the rewards. I raged at that guy for most of the match. I rarely do that but man was I mad at him.
