+1

i would like my clan invasion variants to have their third color unlocked. currently, only 2 colors can be changed on them.
alternate camo patterns on (p) (i) and hero mechs would be most welcome.!

The (P) mechs probably require an entirely new texture to go with their tiny little shoulder plates ("unique geometry" as they call it). The rest? Not so much. Just a simple copy/paste of the other mech patterns, the (I) ones in particular confuse me as there's no reason to not treat them like champion mechs.

I'd at least like to get that third color unlocked on the (I) variants as I really like the pattern on them. Just not stuck with that gray.

Unique geometry, I assume. They'd have to do a completely reworked skin for every pattern that they allow you to apply to the (F), (P), and (I) mechs.

This. They all have slight geometry changes from the standard varients so the texture sets for the normal versions doesn't match them, it would require another unique texture pattern be created for them for each pattern.

They already broke the skins (i.e. made them look much worse) on my Founders mechs because people whined about not being able to change the colors. Now you want to change that, too.

Hint: those patterns are specifically what you paid for in the first place!

Quit breakin' my stuff!

Was that the Closed Beta skin that all Cats had? Or something else that I don't remember/wasn't here early enough for.

'Cause, yeah, the CB skins were awesome. I miss them.

Pretty sure unique geometry isn't the case, I've played around with their models in Blender, and the unique geometry all relies on the same texture that the weapon customization relies on. I'd have to go back and dig up some of the files to see if they actually have camos applied to those areas in the other skins, but Im pretty sure they do.

Notice how they cover the same area, specifically parts that are unique to the Phoenix variants (the lower right hand corner has a lot of the unique shoulder geometry textures).

In conclusion, no, it isn't because of unique geometry.
