When looking at my collection of mechs, why must I be subjected to Trial Mechs? Shouldn't the "Owned" filter actually cause mechs I own to be shown?

I think the idea behind this is, you don't have to buy a Trial Mech to run it. Just highlight it and launch (just like your owned mechs).

I agree with you though, it would be much nicer if Trial Mechs were moved to their own tab.

Maybe PGI doesn't because they figure a new player with no mechs can just highlight a mech to drive and Launch right from the start without hunting through tabs to find a mech to play.

Because having an extra tab would be so complicated...

Does someone have to post a new topic about this every day?

A new player starts the game. Sees no mechs and a greyed out launch button. He/She clicks around a bit because they don't see the tab at the top. They come onto the forums saying..."How do I play! What the heck, I have no mechs to pick from!"

We get that post once every couple of days over and over again.

Really, it should default the way it does currently and call it "Available" instead of "Owned" up top. Available would have all the mechs you could take with a simple click. If you select "Owned", it would have all the mechs you actually purchased (C-Bill or MC).

That would be a good idea I would imagine.

How about if all the Trial mechs could just be filtered to the very bottom (after all my owned mechs) then if they must be shown? I think what I hate most is they are all interspersed among my collection.
