It made Victor Steiner-Davion's book of the month club. They give it 4 Capellan worlds out of 5.

Not sure I would like it, but hey, I'm willing to give most anything a shot once.

Now that's a book (or eReader tablet) I would like to see in the cockpit of my mech!

Speaking of things I'd like to see in my mech...I can't find that thread that PG staff (Garth?) started in which they asked for suggestions as to what little things/trinkets could show up in your cockpit. Otherwise I'd add this there.

Good idea about having a book laying in the Mech cockpit.

Some of my ideas included pet snake, dangling UFO for a laugh and some fun ones for pure humor. But a book would go down well with canon fans for sure.

Odd, that little runt doesn't read books, he's always off giving press releases about how heroic he is, or sleeping with lesser nobles daughters who think this is their path to glory. I imagine one of his PR people handles the book club

Is it

Gerald "the Avenger" Marik, the 28th Captain-General of the Free Worlds League, serving from 2678 to 2703. Reined for 26 years.

or

Gerald Marik II (born 2801 - died 2861), became in 2854 the 37th Captain-General of the Free Worlds League. Reigned for 8 years

Think I would rather see a pin-up girl in my cockpit than snakes or ebooks. :)

Also the only book club that matters is the Richard and Judy one... and I don't think they rate this at all.
