I will admit that my true BT knowledge is relatively weak. I started my addiction to giant mechanical war machines as a young boy in the late 80's, early 90's, by stealing my stepbrother's BT technical specs book. I remember seeing a Battlemaster and immediately fell in love with it. Loved the bubble canopy and the general menacing look.

However, I havenever been able to find much more data than that. I would like more info about this mech. Do you think that it would be a die hard addition to this game? What time frame is this mech from?

I am asking to be schooled!

I'm, sorry, but we don't have rights for the design, so there's a really small chance of it appearing in MW:O.

Everything else is fine about it.

It exists in this timeframe, but it might not make it into the game due to certain legal issues.

Here's some info on the mech:

That´s hilarious! Take in regard that the Banshee is 10 tons heavier and costs 300 BV2 more.
And in close combat a BLR-1G can give the banshee a hard run for her money.

Battlemaster is a great Mech if you know how to use it.

The Battlemaster has some pretty solid designs, most notably the 3M is capable of bringing the pain in 3050.

But we might get to ride this version. It isn't the same Battlemaster we fell for all those years ago, but it is a good replacement. At least to me.

seeing how the battlemaster has never been a favorite of mine anyways... that redesign isnt so bad.. all it did was remove the pistol gripped ppc freeign up its other battlefist and to the other ppl up top... the battlemaster has horrible fightign capabilities but what makes it so popular is how much of a zombie it is... you blow through armor only to find more armor or empty internals the thing just keeps on fighting even after ammo explosions its got better battle longevity than an atlas on tabletop which is funny for how much lighter it is

Them there are fightin' words partner. It has bad long range fighting capabilities, up close and in your face it is a beast, for the time frame in TT 6 medium lasers and an SRM-6 was a pretty darn good punch. I do agree it is a zombie though, and there is nothing wrong with that ;)

I'd love to see it in game at some point but I doubt we will any time soon for some reason. :P

Actually it has an additional 2 med lasers facing the rear.

It's total Med Laser compliment is 6, 4 in the front and 2 facing the rear.

yes but u could also have the 2 rear facing medium lasers taken out and made to face forward at least that's what i did with my tt B-master and if u look at the "reseen" battlemaster http://www.sarna.net...attlemaster.jpg it show's all the medium lasers to the front

Meh, The BM (<-- hehe ;) ) isn't great. The Victor on the other hand...punches holes in places with that big gun while the BM is just chipping armor off everywhere.

True, but in MWO they would all face forward… PPC, 6xML & SRM6 = very nice!

It actually was one of THE first assault 'Mechs out there, and packed a rather respectable close-combat arsenal- even if many heavies outgunned it at range, it could still dish out some firepower while closing and for an assault, was rather mobile. For it's speed, it was probably one of the best 3025-era assault 'Mechs built...though you see better, slower, and higher-tech ones show up rapidly in the post-3050 era.

Sadly, the really nice artwork is from the old Dougram anime series and slipped into the Unseen for quite a while- though I'd bet that Alex I could turn it into something not copyright-infringing yet completely incredible.

But yes, it's more an oversized heavy than an assault-assault.

Sometimes, is not about the best mech, but the one who fire it's guns in your dreams.
I understand your point since my favorit mech (which I'll still tattoo it on my back) is also an unseen: The Marauder.
It have SERIOUS heat problems, but my eyes glow when laid upon him. I even got one lasered in crystal over my desk at work.
If I were a veeery rich guy, I'd buy it's rights only to people from PGI could include it in the game (for free, for the simple pleasure of piloting it).

If you want something a little bigger than the metal mini... Look for "Dougram Bigfoot" and "Robotech Ziyon" in your favorite search engine... There are plastic models out there, one that's 1/72 scale (about 8" tall) of your classic Battlemaster... One of the advantages of the "Unseen" is that you can enjoy other folk's merchandizing...
