I like it.

Not only do those center line launchers look like ballistic launch tubes for a submarine, but also pretty clearly delineate the ST/CT break, which by this, means I called the CT area right, and it is looking to be very well protected, al a the Stalker, from the sides.

Well played, PGI.

It's taller than I prefer, and the arms a little too stubby, and the carriage too upright, but well played on the missile placement.

Please post your screenshots showing weapon configs?

Wow this looks stupid - i see they did to Mad Dog what they did to Catapult A1.

Why high shoulder mounted lrm5, when there is space below in side torso?

Looks cool as hell. Get it on the battlefield and all someone needs to do is fart in its general direction and it takes side torso damage, though. :P

Haha, terrible you say? Just take a look below at the 'exposed' warheads of the tabletop designs. xD

They're a little taller than the TRO style Mad Dog, but those 'boxes' on top of the side torsos aren't newly tacked on. In fact, the old TRO style vulture's larger missile banks used a little extra space down and then up into the box-like area. MWO's design is compartmentalized and each weapon will take up a different section on a mech (such as the catapult's missiles) which is reflected by the box area being used.

The legs on the MDD are -huge-. They're the same legs as the Timberwolf, and they were too big on that, and it's 15 tons heavier. They look crazy on the MDD.

Wow, this looks messed up. It looks like Junior is trying on Daddy's big boy pants. Those tiny arms...and the fat, upright legs...what happened to the gangly albatross I remember? At first glance with the shading and beefy upper legs in that image it looked like it was sitting on IS legs.

Guess I'll have to see in-game.

:(

I was hoping they will look like this - much better. Like old cat had one good rack of missiles on each side...

The (I) variant shares the Timber Wolf's legs model. However, the standard variants have slightly slimmer legs around the shin area.

Nope, it looks just as bad overall in game. About the only thing I feel they got "right" was the torso and head. Arm design is not bad....but the weapons are way too stubby. And yes, the legs are a travesty, and I told Russ that the moment the pics were released And his answer was "they use the same legs as the TimberWOlf".

Technically, true, yet they have different IS and Armor values, so not 100% satisfactory.

More to point...vvisually not so, at all.

But I love the center line tubes.

The shoulders sit WAY too far forward. They're almost centered over the hips, making it look like...well wrong. I'm sorry PGI, this needs to go back to the drawing board.

As someone else pointed out, side torsos are WAY too big. Needs another hitbox pass ASAP

There is your issue, unlike the Catapult...it's simply a matter of available real estate. The Alpha can pack 3 launchers a side...max of 40 tubes, though, due to space. And the only way to make the space, was thusly.
