I cannot count the number of times I have accidentally used GXP to unlock a mech specialty when I didn't mean to. YOU SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO USE GXP WITHOUT MEANING TO. There are so many prompts in the UI right now that you start hitting OK without reading just to make it shut up, and the prompt for the XP is so inconsistent (if you have enough of both it prompts, if you only have enough of one kind it doesn't) that you don't realize you spent the wrong kind till it's too late. Spending GP should use a completely separate button or setting that cannot be hit by accident.

The fix for this, is to not mindlessly click through the messages, but to take half a second to actually read them. It will help you not only in MWO, but in other areas of IT as well.
That said: UI changes and improvements are on the horizon. They have been repeatedly mentioned as a goal for this years first half.
