I also had this during the public test.
Launched into a game on the new map. CPLT-C4.
Walked about 20 meters then game froze for about 3 seconds and crashed to desktop.

Have you tried the repair tool to double check your Install?
Were you able to rejoin after firing the game back up? I had that happen on a different map and I was able to rejoin (Not with the recent patch but within the last month or so).

Able to rejoin yes. As an update, I've dropped three times in the map and all three I have crashed.
Will run the repair tool and see if it fixes it.

Also having the same issue. Load into new map, start to walk out of spawn and crash to desktop. Ran the repair tool loaded into new map and CTD once again.

Glad to know I'm not the only one.
As an update to my OP, I also ran the repair tool, dropped twice more on Mining Collective, and crashed to desktop. So far it's been every time I've gotten the map, without fail.
I AM able to rejoin the battle after launching the client and logging in again. Surprisingly I'm usually still alive, and I just regroup with the team, but still...shouldn't be happening :-/

Have you ever tried using CCleaner before? It's something that I use regularly.
If you have and know about how to clean your registry, that might help, just be very careful and know what you are doing using that utility.
If it's not an update issue for say a graphics card or a driver, I wonder if that might help, but again be sure to be careful!
