I'm sure everyone knows what MechWarrior Tactics is, here is the link should you not...

http://www.mwtactics.com

I'm wondering how many MechWarrior fans can stretch their support of the franchise to the browser game even though it is another MMO?

I myself may be on the browser game until I get a new computer, depending on when it is released. They don't seem far away from beta either. However even once i have my new computer I can see me going on the browser game during downtime of this game. I often find when I take a break from work, to come online and play my fave MMO. I tend to login at downtime.

Having a browser game is handy I feel and we have a MechWarrior one coming ;)

I dunno.

Broswer platform is fine, and I love strategy games, and love Battletech.

however, I really DON'T love a lot of their mech redesigns so far, so it really depends.

I might give it a try. Might be a good change of pace from the realtime action (it's turn based IIRC, right?)

Some of their art has been...let's say not well received.. but, they've listened and gone back and cleaned some of it up to address complaints/concerns.

I'll be playing for the tactical aspect, where MWO seems like it'll be less tactical, more action.. I'm also very intrigued by the double blind ruleset MWT is using. I tried that a few times back in the day when I played TT, and it was very challenging.

Poor wording aka 'asking too much'. Might scratch the question because it sounds rather impertinent (personal impression).

Other than that I might give it a try. Might be a good change of pace from the realtime action (it's turn based IIRC, right?)

Your right I change that a little.

Don't mention it. What's the selling point of the game?
I mean sure BT and all that, but is it targetted at the TT crowd or does it go beyond that and what does it offer?

Yeah I need my video games about giant robots to be mature, serious and gritty. What's this, colourful mechs, vibrant backgrounds, flashy effects?? In my Battletech?!?

I'm fine with megamek for my non-TT TT play.

I am REALLY looking forward to this. This may be the answer I need when it comes to getting my TT fix with my buddy who lives far away. MegaMek is fine and dandy, but Tactics could bring a fresh approach to it. Can't wait for launch.

IPG is publishing it so there is a chance they will share in-game cash. If so Then I would no doubt spend some money on it.

I probably will play both. It would be nice to play the TT style again.

Now I'm going to go search up this MegaMek all these other people are talking about.

A little turn-based action might be a nice break from the intensity of MWO. But MWO is definitely going to be my "primary" game.
