Except if you were paying attention you would note the he was dumping an alpha on an enemy direwhale when a team member stumbled in front of him mid-alpha.

That said, ping allowing, I would shift my aim off the idiot and reposition while yelling at said idiot. Just continuing to bore through them with autocannons is a **** move but an understandable one.

Excepting that doesn't really hold true with light calibre AC's, as you hold the button down to stream them, they don't do omgwtf damage in a single (standard mouse click) press.

Sorry, I should have quoted Kjudoon for at least the first half of my post.

What you're saying is what I was talking about in the rest of my post, rather than sit there and hose the guys back down you shift your aim so the rest of the salvo goes into the dirt or sky etc.

Your fire discipline is your own, OP. Blaming anyone but yourself is just a self-deluding smokescreen.

Not saying people don't deserve it sometimes, but just because you're sitting in a hundred tons of clan badass doesn't give you the right to smoke teammates. Unless you believe it's okay for them to do the same to your slow mech's backside when you waddle into a firing lane.

I can understand your POV.

Perhaps my tone doesn't reflect what exactly happened as i fired and was double tapping he JJ up and over a rock outcrop in crimson straight coming from the side entrance side of the tunnel, i didn't have to fire again as the alpha and it's double tap was enough to kill him and the shoots came out and where in the air so even if i shifted my aim, thats alpha and it's double tap where already on the way.

Nothing i can do to stop alphas already mid flight. with my ping it was as the movie title, Dead Man Walking, so i just said to myself he was dumb 2nd time he'd done it that game i can't help morons that don't learn from there 1st lesson.

Had he took 2 seconds longer he could have gotten to said target from the safety of the building while the opposing mech was staring me down.

Just a reminder:

It is absolutly not OK to call other players dumb, morons, idiots or other insults. As this thread is now in k-town, I'll leave it with that warning, but if I happen to see such a comment in any other sub-forum from the participants, it will have a consequence.

Just remember: If you need to resort to an insult, you are probably wrong or at least you are invalidating your argument!

dumb is defined as lacking in good judgement

how is that an insult when it's obviously an observation?

please explain, i'm using the word in the correct term, i haven't called out anyone in question, no one has any idea whom i'm talking about and now your upset?

It is not discernable if the term was used "in general" or "situational". The thread was not moved for the thread title alone, but for the answers as well.

"You are dumb!", for me, looks like a general statement. "You acted dumb!", is situational. I don't believe either is fine to be used, as either is usually considered as demeaning by the one adressed. It is usually the intent of the one using the term to be demeaning to the one adressed. The rare cases, where that is not the case, can't be taken into consideration for moderation.

You can call yourself dumb all day long, but please do not adress other users in such or similar ways.

dumb is defined as lacking in good judgement

when i was brought up the idea of using words was to make statement concise, so rather than say thats dumb, should i use the defination instead?

ie "You are lacking in good judgement?" "You acted in a manner that lacked good judgement"

thats just seems to be the long winded version of saying dumb,

but if thats the ruling i shall attempt to express myself manner that conveys meaning but can't be taken as an insult then

I was lvl 1 zoom and had volleys in the air and the enemy was like 500 metres away and they walked into the fire at about 250-300 metres from me.

i would have said sorry but they started to rant and label me a team killer. As a Merc in here to get the job done. When i'm in a 8 man group and the a pug does dumb things and starts ranting and labeling, i'm not going to stop and give them advice on awareness.

when i say stop i mean as in stop my mech to explain to them, there was 2 mechs still to kill before they exited the game before i could respond.

Fair enough.

I'm not sure if Hades Trooper is referring to the last 3 times he has team killed me, or if team killing is something that he does a lot as a result of his poor aim and unstable aggressive nature. He was once part of the unit Head Hunters of Davion with me for over a year. After I was promoted above him in the unit hierarchy, he immediately became jealous and vindictive and began a campaign of slander and character assassination against me. When this escalated to threats of violence to me and my family during a time when I was caring for both my parents with terminal cancer, I made the decision to leave HHoD to get away from him. The leaders of HHoD soon realized he was a troll and kicked him out of the unit, the first person in the units long history.

The most recent team killing I received from Hades Trooper was on Crimson Straight in the buildings around the tunnel entrance to the mountain, opposite side to the island. The team was spread out looking for targets so only the faster brawlers were engaged. The first target to appear "Alpha" was targeted by me, then engaged by me. I had fired three salvos at Alpha as we advanced towards each other, when I was suddenly dead from a shot from behind. Before I had even had time to read the name of who killed me Hades Trooper had typed a two line explanation message as if it was already written before the shot was fired.

After my death I spectated him and laughed as he got caught on every obstacle and shuffled towards the platform roof but once again he was late and started shooting through the back of a Timberwolf walking up the ramp in front of him. If all of this was a genuine accident then Hades Trooper was in a slow assault mech arriving late to fire into a brawl others had already engaged. It is his job to take care and choose his shots better - fast moving, jump jetting brawlers running around in circles are a bigger part of this game than some noob hiding in an assault sniper mech. However, this was not just an accident and Hades Trooper is a notorious troll so if anyone gets killed by him just report him.
