This is true and it shouldnt be like that.
On the other hand i am amazed that there are people out there that expect a Game from 2014 to run on a 2gb 32bit Engine.

What 2014 game are you talking about?

I expected that answer.
This one.
Yes, it is from 2014 since it is still way into development.

For those with 32-bit OS and 4gb RAM you can try this solution to force your PC to use the extra RAM that a 32-bit OS won't touch. Results may vary. Tera Online is huge 30+gb game that is not very optimized. I did everything to make that run smoothly by editing the .ini graphics settings but this solution allowed me to play it without crashing due to memory errors. I also used to crash in MWO every 4-5 games but it stopped after I did this. I'm using Win7 32-bit with 4gb RAM.

Advanced Troubleshooting For Windows 32 Bit Operating Systems.

This step will only work for customers who have a 32 bit operating system. The 32 bit versions of Windows allocate 2GBs of usable RAM to TERA which may cause the insufficient Memory error.Only attempt this step if you are comfortable with the command prompt and making changes to the way Windows handles programs.
  • Click on your Start Menu or Windows Icon
  • For Windows Vista & 7 type in "CMD", then Right Click on the "CMD.EXE" file and "Run as Administrator". For Window XP click on "Run" and type "CMD" and press Enter on your keyboard.
  • In the command prompt type the following "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 3072"

To reverse this change just do the following.
  • Click on your Start Menu or Windows Icon
  • For Windows Vista & 7 type in "CMD", then Right Click on the "CMD.EXE" file and "Run as Administrator". For Window XP click on "Run" and type "CMD" and press Enter on your keyboard.
  • In the command prompt type the following "bcdedit /deletevalue IncreaseUserVA"

Increasing UserVA will disable the AMD video drivers, don't do that unless you know how to undo the changes, not sure about the NVIDIA ones.

Ah this one, you mean the game that ran correctly in 2012 before graphic and advanced effects were toned down and is visually sub par compared to 2014 games running perfectly in 4GB. If we want to call that "development" then yes.

But lets return to the issue at hand, the game does not run in systems perfectly within the minimum system specifications and for which they happily sell you content. You see, there are also paying players a bit angry because their premium time is ticking away and are unable to use the game at bare minimum functionality.

The apologists should be very careful because the problem could start hitting you too at some point. Remember? "First they came...". Right now even decent 64 bits systems apparently are not immune.

On a PC with 2gb of RAM that's not going to help but is otherwise useful.

I'm assuming you're not running anything else in the background? I'd honestly be surprised if it'd run if you were but we need to start with the simple stuff.

EDIT: Apologies, ninja'd. I was responding to Elizander.

To speak to EvilCow's point, it runs just fine on my machine which is barely minimum spec (min CPU, 8GB RAM, below min graphics card). It's not PGI's responsibility to make sure the game runs on every user's PC.

EDIT2: That's what I get for forumming on my phone. Formatting

Hehe.
But we can agree that Minimum System requirments deliver Minimum results in playability i guess.
And, Sorry, 2gb/32bit is not only outdated, its almost stoneage when we talk about PCs.
Non the less, yes, i get the Problem too from time to time. Only when i Tab out but still, it shouldnt happen.
And yes if the pc hits the minimum requierments the game should run stable. Dosen't matter in that case if i feel the rig is outdated or not.

I can run crisys 3 on medium with no problems at all but MWO at low crashies. proor programing

P.S.: Mods this is still on general disussion and not on feedback where it belongs.
