I know this is mentioned a lot, but it is a real problem. A temporary fix might be to just have a giant warning show up "You are firing on a friendly mech" when you shoot a teammate, at least till the bug is completely fixed.
Just had a lance teammate strip my arms and most of my torso off, despite me almost spamming chat telling him to stop. Got one shotted 30 seconds later by the enemy.

Yeah its a pretty bad bug that, I also have said for some time now we need a visual and audio indicator whenever a weapon comes into contact with a friendly (like the buzzer sound and "do not shoot" reticle icon that appears in Planetside 2 with friendly fire). Its absolutely essential!!!

In think I was killed because of this last weekend. Team mate started firing on me and killed me quick (my back was to him). He never apologized after I told him he TK'd me, so it might have been intentional.
Also I fired on a mech I thought was an enemy due to this as well. I noticed after my second shot that he was firing PAST my team mates and not at them. I apologized over team chat and tried to remember what he looked like so I wouldn't do it again.
This glitch is a real problem.
