I was in a 2 man team how the actual **** is this even possible.

You're in the group queue... Its very possible.
A buddy and I will 2 man every now and again, we'll run into a 12 man every now and again, not too often though.

I'm sorry ? Did i miss the memo in which they stated that 12 mans would not exclusivly drop against 12 mans anymore ?

A long time ago. When the 12 man queue was useless and was good for nothing more than watch a circle spin for 10 minutes+

But its balanced you see 12 coordinating players should be allowed to roll 6 2 mans who are not on comms, thats the way its designed.

Yes, back when they did the 3/3/3/3 matching, announced back in April:

It was later announced that 12 mans were allowed, and no groups are in the solo queue shortly after the last 3/3/3/3 MM update.
